Frame Rate Drops

Hello, I have been playing league on this laptop problem free for almost a year now. I was playing League perfectly fine a couple days ago. League is the only game I play on PC so I am not sure if this is global among games. Yesterday, early morning, I entered a game and the frames were spiking between 01 FPS and 150 FPS. I have tried multiple things. SInce then, I have;

  • Repaired the client
  • uninstalled and reinstalled the client
  • Updated the drivers
  • Changed the drivers settings to prioritize performance
  • Uninstalled and reinstalled my drivers
  • performed a system format back to factory and reinstalled everything all over again.

I really dont understand what is happening. Everything else on my laptop is working fine. Here are the specs;

  • OS - Windows 8.1
  • Processor - Intel(R) Core(TM) i7-4700MQ CPU @ 2.40GHz 2.40 GHz
  • Installed Memory - 16.0 GB
  • System Type - 64-Bit Operating System, x64 -based processor

Display Adapters include;

  • Intel(R) HD Graphics 4600
  • NVIDIA GeForce GT 740M

Any assistance would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

UPDATE - Ok, so I just ran Task Manager while the game was running to check what the CPU usage and everything was during game time and everything seemed fine except Disc usage. It would spike up to 100% disc usage randomly and go into red often.
