[Out of End Game] Reports? Thoughts and Opinions

Hello everyone,

So I recently have had a player PM me outside of the game (I'm assuming he/she was on my friends list) and say some pretty disgusting words. When I checked my friends list the person was not on it. I later had been informed by other players in the League community that this is a tactic players will use to avoid being reported.

I could not find a way to report said person so I googled it for assistance. Luckily, I stumbled across a League forum where players had been having the same issue and someone suggested to take a screenshot of the incident and attach it to a support ticket.

I created this support ticket and had received a reply from "The Orphan" stating that there really is no way to report a player outside of the game past the end game screen. This was a very disappointing end result. However, he also suggested to post the subject to the League community for further ideas for development of such a feature that would make it possible to be able to report said players while outside the games end game screen. So, here it is.

I would like to get everyone's opinions on the matter and what you think can be done to make this kind of feature possible. Also, what kinds of flaws you may see in a feature such as this or drawbacks of any sort. If we can discuss the pros and cons to be weighed out and, best case scenario, figure out a system that could potentially be used by Riot to help control some of this behavior it would be greatly appreciated.

Also, you are more than welcome to come share your own similar experiences. All opinions are welcome. I thank you ahead of time for your responses and wish everyone the best of luck on the Rift! :D

hmm ...? we've been reporting people out of game using the screen shot -> support for the longest time as they don't ahve that feature.

That dude is either new or doesn't know how to forward that report to the proper personnel.

They may also be misunderstanding your question and used an improper copy / pasted answer. Which I've seen before.
