Elo is pure bullshit. It means nothing
Its used in basically every single decent MM system. Its been the go to system for objective player ratings from the 70s and the core of it was built prior to that, thou implementation was trash. Its principles are entirely mathematical and adhere to the scientific method with the core of it being effectively self correcting and this holds true even when automated. To show some flexibility here, It was what was used to build Facebook. Its what is used to make the algorithms dating websites like Tinder.
Its a proven, documented, and functional system. Its become a core part of the digital age and creeps into parts of your life regardless of how aware of it you are.
Elo is far more then mobas my friend. I recommend you retract your statement and invest into learning a bit more about it.
Now context does matter. Lets be fair. Riots implementation might have issues. As some one who loves Elo systems and learned aobut them I can easily point out that riots Duoing is being stupidly implemented. But your comments wrong, sucks, and you should feel a bit bad for perpetuating the dam imbecilic excuses players use to justify not improving.

Arpad Elo Was a cool Fucking dude, Any one whos gonna talk shit about a nerd who truly loved doing something nerdy, Whelp ima have some beef with them. My friend, this Hungarian dude impacts our every day life with almost nobody knowing about it and all of it flows from the simple fact he was a passionate fan of Chess and liked numbers.
