My Suggestion for Veigar Buff

Straight to point: Have Event Horizon's delay shrink based on Q farm up to a max.

My Reasoning: Personally, I like that Veigar's Event Horizon has the delay. I feel, it fits thematically. Having said that though, it is a large power nerf to Veigar.

Early game this delay is noticeable but Event Horizon still feels useful. A well placed Event Horizon will catch someone and a poorly placed one will be wasted mana. However, as the game starting going and champions start getting items and levels, Event Horizon quickly starts losing it's edge. You need to start placing pixel perfect Event Horizons to even have a chance at catching some of the slower champions. Not to mention the great risk you must place yourself in to even be in range to get that wall placed correctly.

The problem is due to the increased movement from items and abilities, this causes Event Horizon to feel less useful. In addition, as the game gets later the chance of champions being able to just turn and melt him before the wall even appears gets higher. Making that delay felt more.

I have 2 reasons why I suggest it to scale on Q farm.

  1. It gives Riot a more precise lever to balance Veigar. Is the delay to small/big early game? Can change that without affecting late game.

  2. It fits one of Veigar's themes as a champion who scales.

This suggestion also has the added benefit of rewarding Veigars that play well.

Lastly, I do remember a red post saying that they do not like making changes to the timing of abilities. The reason I feel that this might be an acceptable time for this type of change is; players already have to change their timing for Event Horizon every game. Event Horizon has no movement after it is placed, it is static. However, champion movement speed can change dramatically. With boots, movement speed buffs, blinks, dashes, all of which tend to become faster/more frequent as the game goes on. Champions that couldn't get out of a center perfect Event Horizon in the early game can stroll out well in advance in the later game. I do believe this change will actually make Event Horizon's timings more consistent throughout the game.

Thank you, to all who have taken the time to read my suggestion.

I'd rather they take the enemy ap ratio off his ult and bump up the ap damage ratio to like 1.5 or 1.4

he's not much of a catcher anymore when it comes to his stun, he is stellar in teamfights, you cant tell where his W is and you can land it without stun, ive done so many times easily then there's his stun, in a teamfight that crap is so easy to hit and people will walk into if they dash
