Before I start playing ranked, a question

Background: last season, I had a bad experience with my placement games. The experience being 4 games where a player either was AFK from the start of the match or disconnected a short time in, which led to me going 3-4/10 and getting into bronze 2 (and that was an experience not worth mentioning) after being placed into and staying in silver 2-3 the previous season.

So what I want to know is this; has there been a change made anywhere to do something for the team with an AFK in placements? Loss prevention, or at the very least, not counting the game as one of the ten? Because getting my ass handed to me because my ADC or mid never connected or d/c'ed and then getting a loss really is a bad way of gauging my skill as a player, especially as I've ended up as a support main. If that change was made, I'll give ranked a chance this year. If not, well, not like I was going to get into a place where I could get an end of year reward anyway.

And please don't throw the "if you can't win as the 4 in a 5v4, then you don't deserve to advance/didn't have the drive to win" crap at me. You're free to keep that delusion to yourself.

just play ranked and dont think about your rank or anything. you learn more from ranked games than you learn from normals so if you enjoy the game, jsut play ranked. and no, no changes have been made. if someone goes afk, that team most likely still loses.

Don't play Ranked until April. You're going to find a lot of problems otherwise.
