Good Subs for Darius?

I'm looking to start getting good at this game since I've been playing on and off since before Xin Zhao was released. I'm most experienced with Darius top, but some matchups are annoyingly difficult at best, and his ban rate is noticeable enough to have an impact as well.

Overall I'm looking for two subs for bans and one to two subs for matchups. I've been considering Illaoi and Gangplank as subs for when he's banned, Garen for lane bullies that happen to outbully Darius, but I'm at a loss for champions to use against ranged kiters like Gnar and Quinn. Any suggestions or advice?
