so yesterday and today I thought maybe I will try to rank up I play some rank I get into promos about to win then my adc goes afk for 10m comes back we lose and I lost my promos this has happened many times now very annoying how I can lose my promos and 40LP because some person decides to afk and ruin the game for me so I would like to know why you penalize people the same as the person who ruined the game for the rest I don't think that is very fair at all and maybe people would enjoy this game a bit more if they didn't have to suffer from a teammate going afk then losing lp that I have been working towards for the past 3 days the amount of people that troll in my promos feels unreal but it legit happens every time to me so if anyone can explain why this keeps happening I would appreciate it

People have more important things to do than a video game People don't manage their time People have internet issues Many things can lead to someone going afk

As far as you losing LP, maybe make a suggestion on how Riot could balance it. If you suggest that only the afker loses LP the answer is no because you could easily abuse this if you were a duo. "I'll afk right before we lose so my friend Tim doesn't lose lp."

Because players would abuse the system by going afk or leaving in order to save their duo or queue'd team from losing LP.

You're losing 40 lp from a loss? That means that your mmr is extremely lower than that of the average MMR of that division. Also, use periods.
