What is season 6 about thus far?

I started playing season 4 and noticed well into the game that assassins primarily defined it. Specifically Deathfire torch and every AP mid laner that could one shot almost anybody in the game (looking at you Ahri and Annie ). It was about both teamfights and getting picks, and even more so the game had a nice pace assuming no one person snowballed immensely.

Can't really remember specifically what defined season 5, however I do remember that there was an off and on of tanks showing up (especially with the item 3800 release of patch 4.20). I also remember that this is when objectives had more importance (Dragon giving stats and not just gold, and Baron being more of "pushing" objective).

So far in season 6 I'm feeling that the game is much more directed towards team play in general and objective control. Getting towers/Dragons/Barons gives a lot of control to the team. I feel it's also harder for one champion to snowball and carry as enemy kill gold is shared to the team and the first to group is the first to win, ya know? There are of course, as with every season, certain champs that are terribly strong for their worth - thinking Udyr, Poppy, Nautilus, etc.

What do you guys think? Which role has the most influence on games? What strategies are prevailing the most?

its about snowballing, and death timers longer than the que times.
