Spectating a friends game when
Cass is so fucking strong.
Cass is so fucking strong.

Maybe. But it is a dfg cassi so it is a low elo game. They might just think she gets less damage with ap. Kappa

lol. dfg is sick on cass.
dfg is for anyone who does has a lot of burst. Dfg gives you extra damage for a limited time. This means that if you can unload your full burst in the time frame dfg is active and before the target escapes then dfg is a good item. Cassi however is the opposite. She does sustained damage and has next to no sustain. If anything she might want more tankiness to be able to survive longer while she unloads her damage. If there is an apc carry you do not want to have dfg on it is most likely cassiopeia. I can see the reason why you want to get as much ap as possible but this is one of the not so clear noob traps she still have along side with things like liandrys. I am not saying it is bad for her to have the item but it is sub optimal like building full ad on Olaf is not really what you want to do either if you are playing seriously.
That said i will be glad to hear your argument that dfg is such a good item on her since as you can see i see no reason to go dfg on cassi.

For simplicity i am gonna make these numbers really easy for me. Assume level 9
DFG lasts 4 seconds You can land 8 fangs, but lets say you land 7 you can auto in between each fang but lets say you don't ( you can also points in between) and i am not going to use any ap ratios just base damage (besides it would help cass's case) i am also excluding poison damage This is also excluding 10% ap bonus from cass passive
Cass lands 7 fangs plus ult = 1235 damage. Ahri lands full combo and hits everything 100% = 742 (with 20% extra damage on charm) Cass combo listed above plus DFG: 1482 Ahri combo listed above plus DFG: 742
DFG isn't about burst damage it's about how much dps you can put out in those 4 seconds. The numbers stated for both of my examples are both very possible outcomes in a skirmish. Another point i was to say is that cass does have sustain because of her passive. Liandrys is a great buy on her as well because it has synergy with her kit as well as doing a good amount of damage no matter how much ap you have.
Sorry for the sloppy response, but i am pretty tired.
I know the numbers... heck on the large thread on the cassi rework i was the guy constantly putting out numbers about how high her damage is.

This number while true is in a best case scenario. Normally you will not get as many spells as this off. Heck pulling out 7 twin fangs in 4 seconds even on a stationary target is hard since the game does not queue commands. What i mean by this is that even if you mash a button as fast you can there is going to be a delay between the spell going of cool down and you pressing 'e'. Beside this you have to remember that all her spells have cast time so when you cast her q or w you lose potential twin fangs and her twin fangs cast time combined with her slow attack animation means that if done perfectly she will not have time to aa (which on a side note does not get amplified by dfg since dfg only amplifies magic damage). Further you also want to kite as you are most likely not going to be left alone in teamfights.

I would like to say i disagree with you here. A lot. This would make dfg a good buy on ryze too who can pump out way more damage over 4 seconds than even veigar. A lot of this is due to the fact that you need to be targeting the same enemy for 4 seconds which is not guaranteed for sustained damage but is guaranteed for burst damage while they are cc'ed by ahri's charm. Another reason to get dfg on ahri and not cass is because ahri needs every bit of extra damage she can get for her burst since she wants to kill her target in that window while cass is going to kill her target and the rest of the enemy team if she gets time. The last big reason is build path. Ahri has plenty room for dfg in her build as she does not really need any items beside dcap and void staff (yes zhonya's is good but not necessary) while cassi needs extra mana from either roa or seraph, the slow from rylais, pen from void, dcap for extra ap and preferably a last item for extra defense so she can keep on staying in the teamfight even if she gets dove by an assassin or bruiser. A last minor thing i want to mention is that the 10% cdr you get from dfg is practically wasted on cassi but this is only a minor point.
On the liandrys then it is a bad choice on cass since she has very short ranged poke which is also not too easy to hit in the case of her q (which does not slow without rylais) and in case of her w then if you miss it or opponents manage to dive you before you have it back up then you are relying on hitting your q on whoever dove you and if you miss it you have a melee bruiser or assassin on top of you with 3 seconds before you have any kind of damage. In an all in it should be clear enough that liandrys is not good. The dot it gives is simply too small compared to the damage cassi puts out through her e.

My opinion is still the same. we just have different understandings of the game and that's fine.
I like how the kda is out of the pick and that branch is from the base that might imply she was losing regardless of that ap.
OR maybe he zoomed in so that you could easily see what the point of the picture was. Good fucking god you cass players are annoying.
Does he use scaling AP runes? Because with 4 finished items I'm usually only around 800 AP at max. It baffles me how he has twice the Ap with just 1 more item - even though he has 5 drakes.
Considering his MR: Most likely scaling runes... Any caster will blow her up like that...

baron + 5x dragon + 400 stack passive + rabbadons should get you to 1600 with 6 items.
Dragon was +24% AD and AP at five stacks before patch 4.21, so she basically has about 120+120+120+ ~140+70+40+40+27+15+22 =~720 AP, without Rabbadon's. Adding all the multipliers, you get 720x1.3(Rabbadon's)x1.3(Passive)x1.24(Dragon buff)x1.05(Arcane mastery in offense tree) to get a grand total of almost exactly 1640 AP. Doesn't really mean too much considering how awful her scalings are (it is like any other champ at about 900 AP, yes that is extremely high, but it took ALL of those different buffs and multipliers to get to that amount).

To be exact
DFG/Rab's/Zhon : 120 ea, 360 total Void: 70, 430 total Seraph's: 131.73, 561.73 total Sorcery Elixir: 40, 601.73 total Baron: 40, 641.73 total
To deduce rune/mastery setup (though Masteries are likely granting 22, 16 from Mental Force and 6 from Arcane Mastery):
1641 / (1.31.31.24*1.05) = 1641 / 2.20038 = 745.78 AP needed.
745.78 - 641.73 = 104.05 AP from Runes/masteries.
Possible rune setups require figuring out Armor. Cassiopeia has 90.2 Armor and Zhonya's grants 50, reaching 140 of Cassiopeia's 143. The Enchanted Armor mastery (t1 defense, has two points) grants her 2.5 Armor from Zhonya's-- I conclude that Cassiopeia is running this mastery and thus no other work needs be shown-- Cassiopeia is running no Armor nor Magic Resistance Runes.
Possible AP increases available are:
16, 6, 0.59 (9s), 1.8 (9s), 4.95 (3q), 7.74 (3q), 1.8 (9m), 0.59 (9m), 1.19 (9g), 3.06 (9g). Some combination of this has to be ~104.
Let's assume that Cassio is running the masteries for a bit of ease, leaving us with just the (m/s/g/q)-labelled options to get 82 AP. Running a FULL AP/LEVEL page (marks, seals, glyphs, AND quints) yields you 83.16 AP-- which is pretty close to what's here. So I'm betting that the rune page is full AP/Level too.
So re: this image?
It's never going to happen in-game because running full AP/Level runepage leaves you horribly squishy, which means you have a lot of trouble staying around in-lane, which means that you will die because you don't have strong enough CC, which means that the game will end long before you can turn it around.
not likely losing with 5 stack dragon and baron
