My Problem with the Boards

I used to post on the boards very frequently, then i stopped coming on them completely. Here i am back again still seeing the same problem and probably worst of all i am contributing to the problem. So these are my problems with the boards with a solution.

• Posts on the wrong boards

  • There are so many posts that have nothing to do with "gameplay and balance" that make it to the top of its boards as an example. When i imagine opening up the boards for gameplay and balance i want to see things about mechanics / power spikes / discussion about the permabanned champions / MAYBE a play someone made in game using a cool mechanic or soemthing ( i have dodged a cassio ult by warding behind me when she ulted. it's the fastest and easiest way to counter her ult)

• Posts about the exact same topic over and over again

  • Posts about Le Blanc/Cassio/promos/series/zed/lee sin. This one is pretty self explanatory. everyone just makes a that has a barely different title and barely different content and everyone just basically copy pastes their posts from one threat to another. It would be better to have 1 post where people contribute.

• **Witch hunting/i am never wrong mentality/being an asshole **

  • i am an asshole sometimes and sometimes i do believe that i am not wrong, but at least I realize that it's unproductive to not have an open mind for things and i try to change. I do a lot of things that are non-meta because i theory craft a lot, so that makes my opinion pretty controversial most of the time. As an example, i don't think there is a problem with lb/annie/lee sin/ sejuani. But this post isn't about that, it's about changing our behavior to have better community and spread better information.
  • I've seen witch hunting on here a few times, and it shouldn't be allowed to happen. The most prominent example of this that i can recall is stashu. This guy made cassio a sick champion that is insanely fun and strong, but her problem is that "she isn't a poison mage because she is twin fang focused". I remember seeing like 10000 hate posts about stashu and it was just plain wrong.
  • This one is on the community to post good content and be open minded and try things that other people suggest. and honestly, at this point on the boards we need a complaints/gripes board because all i see are complains and no solutions to things. And when a solution is suggested, it's torn apart or said to plainly be wrong.
  • this is probably a big reason why rioters don't post on here ever. They get torn apart in every post regarding balance. The truth is there are just a lot of things that are wrong that people most on these forums, and there needs to be more good content to outweigh the bad content.

• The solution

  • We need moderation by riot... Moderation can prevent or help all of the problems i posted before. They can remove or move posts in wrong boards / stop witch hunting when it appears / remove exact same posts / push towards quality / and it give them an excuse to actively participate on boards. Honestly if we fix some of the problems i outlined in the last section, rioters would post more because they don't feel attacked or their opinions won't get torn apart.

What was the last valuable piece of information you learned from the boards that helped you get better at playing league? In the past few days I havn't seen anything at the top of the boards that was valuable information to anyone playing league, that should change. (except in tips and tricks section, but even then so many bad posts there.)
