The Champ that relies 100% on the team.

mordekaiser used to be a pretty popular mid pick, but now he would be a useless pick in the new meta. Until pretty recently he has had no gap closers/escape or any cc. Now he has the extra movespeed from his w, but it relies on an ally unit/champ for the ms. He is very vulnerable to gank's and relies on rylais to stay on his opponents. most people would probably not want to rush a rylais though. spell vamp is or a ton of health pots early game is important since his abilities use health. I believe morde can be a very strong team mate to have, but he is only good as his team. He does not have the same ability to make plays for his team. Laning phase- He has good waveclear, but this makes him vulnerable to ganks, his w is not very helpful for escaping since he can't always get the extra movespeed. He could just not use his skills for waveclear, so the lane doesn't push, but when he tries to farm he will most likely take harass since of his melee range. So he can ethier lose farm or take the risk of getting ganked. (yes I know you can ward, but that doesnt mean you are going to be safe) Atleast melee champs like zed and kassidin have escapes and a slow, which makes a huge difference.

I like his kit, but I think he is in need of a remake. Or even a small buff like whoever he ults, he gets increased movespeed when moving toward them. Something as little as that or a slow could help balance him for the meta.

Try building him tanky. He's a very good tank counter now if you build him to survive versus one shotting carries.

He is a good option as a counterpick to some champions. Unlike some overpowered champs he cannot be put in to any laning situation and come out on top because of 'playmaking potential'
