Why should I have to lock in my pick/ban?

I missed a game today because I didn't lock in my ban. I clicked the champ I wanted then went to fix masteries, and got kicked out 15 seconds later for not locking. What is the point of this? If I click a champ it should just auto-lock it when time runs out instead of kicking you and everyone from the lobby.

Why should we have to get used to something people have done for years when there was nothing wrong with it?

Riot wants matches to take a lot less longer to start up. They are sick and tired of people waiting until the last damn minute.

Because it is wrong when you combine it with pick intent. You'd be able to AFK from the time you got to the lobby until the game was 5 minutes in if it auto locked for you.

I don't believe that you're incapable of remembering to lock in changes. If you're incapable of remembering that, I can't fathom how you'd remember things like reworks or new champion kits.

Everytime I lock in a champ in about 1 second left it freezes and kicks me out of the queue. I guess riot isn't really friendly with split second decisions.
