So I've taken a break from league that lasted around a year and upon playing again I noticed that there was a level beyond 30, I just wanted to know what is the max level you can achieve at the moment?

it is infinite. A bunch of people set up new accounts as bots in bot games that are the equivalent to intermediate bots and have them playing games 24 hours straight since the level cap was uncapped. They're now over level 600.

There isn't a confirmed max level I believe.

This thread has images of all the level borders up to level 500. I don't know if that's the maximum, but at least there are that many levels.
