This is so stupid. I had 2 afk players last game. Why do I have to wait til 20 minute mark every time I have afk in my team? Why can't you just let players to leave after someone have been afking for 5+ minutes?

No loopholes, and riot does not feel a need to waste time passing judgement on every single afker when they can just blanket ban them all for being trash.
That time can be better spent on important things.

It takes effort, and you dont see it as much here - people who afk tend to care a lot less about other people or their account than the trash that gets banned for flaming.
They also tend to be much farther down the angry reject scale and not as likely to stubbornly ignore warnings until the system wrecks them, then cry about it.
