What I hate is someone purposely AFK's or quits the game and you have to sti there for well over 15 minutes to wait to FF.
I'd take afk's over int feeders or trolls anyday tbh.
If i ever get disconnected from a game i would not rejoin it, because the moment i got disconnected i would lose any reward for winning the match so why not watch some TV, do laundry or anything else really.
If the penaltys for rejoining on disconnect were not so swift severe and permanent this would be less of a problem.
Those individuals are punished through their LP loss, and also risk a ban. It's really annoying to lose LP because of them, but you also need to consider what would happen if Riot didn't also make the other players pay for it. If other players in the team wouldn't lose LP, soloq teams would simply elect one of their members to afk for five minutes, just so they won't all lose their precious LP. It's truly easily abusable.
Beyond actually banning trolls/afkers, to really punish bad behavior Riot'd have to make the whole process of creating new accounts and unlocking things a chore. Like old runes for example where it took up to a month or so of grind to fill in 1 runepage. If making new account isn't a 5-minute breeze, people would actually consider not trolling that much.
But new smurf/alt accounts only boost Riots charts of account activity and artifically make the game more alive than it actually is and Riot corporate workers love big numbers so everyone's happy... Except normal players.
I recently concluded an experiment where I took notes of 60 of my games. Of those 60 games, 3 were remakes, and of the valid 57 games, there were only 2 games with afks. I won one because of an afk and lost one because of an afk. Stop stirring up shit. Unless you're playing on the LAN server where afks are rampant, there is no way you get an afk every day.
They are extremely harsh on afk I don’t understand why you don’t think that
You must play a lot of games or be toxic and afk because I rarely ever get an afk, instead I get inters, trolls, and people with a superiority complex.
