People who pick late game comps are shooting themselves in the knees

Especially in low ELO it's hilarious how many teams try to pick shit likeAnivia Azir Ezreal Gangplank Kalista Kayle KogMaw Xerath and others nowadays when:

-they dont know how to farm -dont know how to play safe -dont know the subtle nuances of denial such as minion management -early game champs are overtuned to all hell and oppress high length gameplay because of the fortnite disorder riot adopted -they counterpick themselves by doing this

it hurts ranked, and normals alike. Normals is one thing to play your champ that you want, but it's a testament to how badly riot balances the game when even a champion like Maokai who people cried about for years on end is now a troll pick. Then you try to pull that in ranked and you lose solely based off comp.

Ezreal has good burst with his W change ... And xerath will poke the shit out of anyone. Not disagreeing with your point, just saying that those two arent the best examples.

In low elo, scaling champions are fine. You have to know how to win the game early to make them effective. Low elo is notorious for not knowing how to close the game out and it goes late. Kayle is fine, Kog'maw is fine, Azir is fine, Ezreal isn't usually because of player skill level, Gangplank same as Ezreal, Kalista is bad across the board, and Xerath is not a scaling late game terror. Anivia doesn't really scale, she just hits a sustained power spike after hitting level 6.

If I were low elo, I would much rather have a Kog'maw, Twitch, Tristana, Sivir, or Jinx on my team instead of a Lucian, Ezreal, or Jhin. The scaling champions where you just right click and the enemy team blows up is more effective when the player controlling the champion is terrible at the game.
