Thresh OR Naut (to practice)

So my friends and I have had a never ending, unresolved, discussion about which I should pick up next. I play a lot of Nami & Janna and would like to branch out my play-style. I feel like I am a slow learner so I want to be 100% decided on what to invest my time in. I have some people telling me Thresh is stronger over-all and others saying Naut is..... Your time and opinions are greatly appreciated!

I WOULD LIKE TO ADD AS REQUESTED THAT THIS IS WITH RANKED 5'S IN MIND <3

i you want to truly support you adc go with thresh he has a better kit thatn naut because he has a escape a slow stun pull 99 percent slow and nockback where as noc only has a pull slow and nockup

there both good the difference is thresh is allot more utility than naut (he also requires allot more mechanics then naut) and naut is just a freaking unkillable cc machine all game long. so i wouldn't say one is better i personally just love thresh and hes my most played champion but i have friends that can hard carry on naut because wtf do you do against an unkillable cc machine with point and click hard engage? so basically i think you should decide bu which would you rather do learn a high utility champion with high skill roof or a simple cc machine that's almost impossible to kill

Total opinion. I see a ton of Thresh players that are great, but I suck at him. However, I'm personally amazing at Nautilus.

Thanks for the replies guys - I forgot to add that this is with ranked 5's in mind as I definitely enjoy the group play! :)

Thresh is a lot better on a coordinated team. With ranked 5's in mind, Thresh would probably be a lot better in your sense because of how strong Thresh is on a coordinated team.

That said, I am a Nautilus main, and cannot stress how strong he is and how fun he is to play.

Naut is better at all in diving since he is much tankier and has TONS of great CC. Thresh is a good diver as well and has a very flexible kit to fit into almost any team comp. Both are great supports, but it will take longer to master Thresh.

This is overall a difficult choice without much detail about your team. Seeing that you typically play the backline/peel style supports, I assume that your top lane and jungle will pick up the tank role. If they are looking into different play styles, then I would pick up Naut for your front line. However, I personally would say Thresh is a better choice if your just picking up one. Not to say the champ is better than Naut, but Thresh has remained a top tier support through a numerous number of patches. His utility allows for multiple different play styles to fit in almost any team comp. Otherwise, just play Braum because he never loses lol. Braum Thresh Nautilus

thresh is good on a more experienced player but if ur relatively new to supports like thresh vs naut, than naut is the way to go hes much easier to play and imo a lot of fun to play as well
