I'm currently climbing in Silver right now and it feels like I need to try wayyyyyyyyy too hard to pull off some victories or even stay relevant when my teammates aren't doing so well. It's honestly so stressful, anti-fun, and borderline toxic.

Even in ranked, matchmaking seems to be skewed. In Silver 4, I was getting Bronze 2 ADCs and Silver 5 supports placed against Silver 3 ADCs and S3 support. Bronze ADC has 95 farm in 30 minutes, enemy Jhin has 200+. Now, his mmr may have been high, but it was evident that he couldn't really hang. I hate that the current matchmaking algorithm pairs you with 4 bads when you've been winning a lot and expects you to hardcarry ("If YOU cant carry you dont deserve to climb" mentality). It's so taxing mentally and super unhealthy for the game.

Additionally, I hate hate HATE the fact that new players just starting placements start at high silver MMR. IMO this is a major contributor of negative experiences in high silver because the first time will pick Kog'maw into Kai'sa/Leona and go 0/10. You will try to minimize damage as a team but at that point the game will be too far gone because of snowball effect.

I do think some sort of "champion mastery" check needs to be put into effect as well for ranked games. Something along the lines of: "if you aren't at least mastery 3 or 4 on a champ, you can't play them in ranked." This would encourage people to practice offroles in normal games as well, so they won't first time them in ranked and be a nuisance to the team (I'm talking to you Battle Sorakas that dont level heal until level 8).

Silver and Platinum are the hardest leagues to climb out from for different reasons, we silvers are very inconsistent, and plat players are very arrogant and easy to tilt or so I've heard, but if you deserve to be in gold you will reach it soon, just keep it up and focus on fixing your mistakes so you can impact your matches harder.

Look is not that your teammates don't sometimes "ruin" your games, but even thinking about it is a waste of your time, because you can only change yourself and improve yourself, it is very irrelevant which league new players are placed on, because that has no bearing on your own performance, this is not "he has gold so I derserve gold" this is "I'm gonna crawl throught the mud to get to the league I want to"
