LISTEN UP RIOT : THis is why the current Katarina conflicts with YOUR gameplay values.
TL;DR : Kat is the ONLY champ with a targeted blink ability (E. shunpo) that resets (P. Voracity). Riot will HAVE to [change / balance / nerf ] this to be consistent with the **"pillar of our design of design values," COUNTERPLAY. **(As stated by **MORELLO **in Dev Blog: The Design Values of League of Legends)...............I recommend the balance team make changes to Katarina that are similar to those Master Yi experienced in patch 3.10a.
i was recently in a match where a katarina was able to kill my teammate with her full combo in about 1 second. Katarina was then able to take IMMEDIATELY use her E ( a blink ability) shunpo to now reach me. she solo 100-0 killed me in a death recap recorded .6 seconds. she kill 2 opponents with full health in 2 separate locations in less than 2 seconds. Naturally, this really got frustrated. Im not bothered by an assassin (fed Katarina or any other) killing me or my team mates. thats the game and thats what they do. the problem was not having a window to retaliate / Avenge my teammate. EVEN FED, No other assassin or any other champion with a blink ability can accomplish killing 2 enemy champs, 700 units apart, in that time frame.

under Counterplay
Rich and exciting fights need to be two-sided, not one-sided. ... you need to consistently outplay them, not just pull off that one perfect kill. ... no phase of the game should be decided before a team steps up to fight. ...** reactions matter.** While** counterplay** is a type of* meaningful choice*, it’s so important to League of Legends as a competitive multiplayer game that we consider it a pillar of our design values. A fight loses its excitement if the first punch wins – it's what you can do after that adds depth and complexity. We try to prevent hard counters and abilities with no room for reaction, as no game should be over without a real show of skill.
Under Teamplay it says "No victory is won alone. Players need to rely on teammates " AND under Meaningful Choices it says " If it's a no-brainer, it's not interesting." if you can back to back blink faceroll delete one enemy after another by yourself. why wouldn't you? But is this a part of the healthy competitive gameplay Riot is striving for ? (Riot staff, if you are not sure of the answer to that question, then go ahead look at the pentakill statistics )
in Patch 3.10a Master Yi received balance changes in his kit under this context
... we soon identified the need to reduce his power, we wanted to do it in an intelligent way that created windows of opportunity for both Yi and his opponents, rather than by simply reducing his overall damage. We like Highlander’s reset mechanic, but the flat second reduction on it meant that solid Yi players could effectively chain Alpha Strikes together with no window of vulnerability after scoring a kill. ...
I believe that Katarina is in a similar place in right now for the same reasons as master Yi was then. I also believe that **similar **changes will create healthier gameplay for katarina and her opponents. by reinforcing the gameplay values of Meaningful Choices, Counterplay, and Teamplay.
