is thresh a viable top laner or adc?
hey guys i like 
but i wanted to do more than support with him and i have tried to take him top or adc but he doesnt look that viable, is there a specific build or strategy to play with him in the other roles?

Top lane he is way too squishy early game.
ADC works but it's a troll build. There is no reason to pick him over any other ADC.
pls dont say that he is a troll pick for top or adc unless you already tryed him ;D

it's really bad. his kit is designed around being a support.
Nah, Thresh belongs in the jungle.
He has an AD scaling magic on hit, so a traditional ADC build would be wasted on him. AD caster minus the arpen might work. On hit is cool too.
Short answer? No, at least in higher level play.
"Passive basic attack "wind up" damage now only grows when Thresh's basic attack cooldown completes". Before this change in season 3, yes. The trouble with trying Thresh as a damage source is that he can't do anything while he is hooking someone and his "steroid" is only good for the first hit. That is my guess, but I am not that great... He still works in low level play though...
