I went on about an 8 loss streak, and have started earning 14-15 LP per win, and losing 21-22 per loss. I realize this is probably because my mmr is very low after that streak. is this win loss LP ratio permanent, or is it set for like a 20 game penalty? if it isn't for a set amount of games, is it possible to return the ratios to normal?
Locke Daemonfire1 votesMMR is just a number that goes up when you win, down when you lose. If your MMR belongs in a higher rank, then you gain more LP than you lose so that you eventually reach that rank. Same thing but opposite if you have a low MMR.
So if you win more games than you lose for awhile, your MMR will go up and your LP gains should increase. Your LP gains will also even out if you get demoted, since your rank better matches your current MMR (though I assume that's not a goal for you :P)
