What should I do when I have a toxic teammate?

Last game one of my teammate was feeding, and I can do nothing about it. That really piss me off. So I lose the game that should not lose. I really want to know how "report system" is working, Is it really useful when I report some toxic hehavior and it will respond me or it just a psychological comfort stuff ？

I have had a few times where someone rages and shortly after I report them a message pops up saying they have been punished. I think it just depends how many people report them

AFK. You could mute them and then carry them as Riot expects you to do, which is actually rewarding them.
