cho gath is just a mess

its not even fun getting hit by a cho just due to how stupid his ult is and how he works with stone plate and righteous glory either change his ult to scale into magic damage or change his way of stacking health because a cho being able to outscale sion in health is honestly retarded af

IMO, getting more health than sion is reasonable, given that the tradeoff is that he either has to use his ult on a minion or monster almost off cooldown to get his initial 6 stacks for midgame, or he has to risk delaying the stacks by trying to execute champions. It gives the Cho player interesting choices, and gives his lane opponent opportunities to play around his ult. Honestly I think Cho's biggest issue right now is the interaction between stoneplate and his ult. Previously cho was unreliable with short ranged w-e and an extremely unreliable q. Now that he can more or less oneshot with ult, the reliability issues are lessened, and he becomes like a juggernaut with long ranged cc. In addition, the full tank build allows him to run in carefree with righteous, and the new slow on e can set up a near guaranteed q, whereas before you'd need rylais or team assistance to do that.

my suggested fix? Balance him as a fighter midlane/toplane a la Galio. Do this by removing the stoneplate interaction, and/or look to trade health ratios for ap ratios on the ult. Force him to build actual damage to get off a oneshot, such that he can't bumrush multiple enemies and walk back out. If he's still causing issues, consider tweaking the slow on e such that it doesn't guarantee a q hit.

see i can udnerstand top lane cho cant get many stacks but jg cho can easily get stacks insanly quick and clear as quick and can stack more infinitely due to things like dragon and with jg cho i have never had to choose if i needed to save ult or to just chow something down. While his ult also provides a free smite

METALLICIZE now increases base health and bonus health proportionally, rather than all increases being considered bonus health. For example, if you have 1500 base health and 1000 bonus health, the empowered cast will grant 1500 base health and 1000 bonus health instead of 2500 bonus health.

Active no longer scales with Stoneborn Pact mastery 2017.png Stoneborn Pact or Nunu Nunu's Consume.png Consume Well Fed buff.

Juggernaut item.png Cinderhulk's +20% bonus health is now only applied once after METALLICIZE, rather than METALLICIZE first increasing the champion's health already factoring Gargoyle Stoneplate active and then Juggernaut item.png Cinderhulk triggering again to increase the new amounts of bonus health.

Straight from the wiki... Nerfs to gargoyle stoneplate. Chogath gets a minimum number of stacks from the jungle (and is by no means 'insanely fast'.... hes got a par clear speed for multi camps. Solo camps are slow until post 6 when you can execute them) and any more from champions.

I think the problem is cho-gath is a raid boss, and you are not countering said raid boss and ALLOWING him to get in melee range of you... because newsflash; his ult is melee range. Yeah sure 2000 true damage with 8000HP yadda yadda but thats VERY late game and he probably flashed on you to do it or you allowed him to get close enough to EQ you.
