Which Champion Should I Learn?

Sir MichaeI·5/14/2016, 1:35:06 PM·4 votes·1,433 views

I'm interested in learning a new champion because now I only play MasterYi in the jungle and it's very boringitem 3070 . So, I need a champion that follows this criteria:

  1. Played in top/mid/jungle
  2. Can carry bronze/silver/gold
  3. Fun to play, not too easy but not TOO hard
  4. Pretty meta-resistant
  5. Has a big impact on games, whether it's tanking or damage dealing

Thanks so much!

I like Shyvana. Diana might be good for you. Perhaps Pantheon. #4 will be hard. Meta resistant is pretty hard to find unless you're in support.

I'm not going to recommend anything, but what ever you find enjoy it while you can, before riot changes things for them, so that learning isn't needed anymore.

Top-Gnar This guy is incredibly fun to play and master. You get to be two champions in a single game, the ADC who enemies can never catch, and the Tank that takes enemies to CC hell. Plus, he's adorable. Jungle-Fiddlesticks Easy jungling, insane level 6 ganks, healing, speed buff, fear, silence, heavy AOE damage, oh my! Mid-Velkoz I was going to recommend Zed, but I find Vel'koz rewarding to play. Sure, his Q is difficult to land, he is a skillshot champion, he's squishy, but the amount of damage you can do is insane. In teamfights, a well positioned ult will wipe-out teams. Also, his disintegration knowledge theme is great. Support- Bard He is a high risk, high reward champion. I love him as my favorite support. Used badly, he will lose you games in an instant, but used well, you can allow your team to steamroll the enemies faces. Also, meeps are good, but penguins are cuter. ADC-Jhin I personally love KogMaw (I main him), but Jhin is fun to play with. Mastering his 4 bullet rule may take some time, but once you get the hang of it, you'll be gunning people down with ease. And the feeling you get when you use that ultimate feels so good, even better when you kill with it, much better if you kill someone with your critical ultimate shot.

Gangplank This is the only champion you will ever need to play.

Kindred

  1. They are jungle, might be able to play elsewhere
  2. They can surely carry, best jungler right now IMO
  3. I'm really enjoying them, they're the only thing I've played jungle for like, 20 matches, if not more.
  4. Yup. Tank-shredder, can resist through patches, I believe.
  5. DEFINITELY. Even when I lose I have a ton of kills and some deaths, this champ has an amazing impact, especially since they're a jungler. They deal an extremely high amount of damage. Beware of Graves though, he sucks.

Riven

Fiora it's a bit rare for her to go to any other lane than top, but it can be done. If you go jungle, start E and krugs.

Draven fun to play does damage can fit most roles--because draven doesn't change due to meta can carry games

a top mid and jg isn't much, i like to go top/jg.

However, for the three, you can do Graves and Ekko.

Try sticking to Top/jg and play Ekko, Graves, Gragas.

http://champion.gg/ should be your friend for questions like this. No it doesn't give sub-plat data (lolking does), but it gives you a good idea of which champs are good in which roles. As for easy to learn champs, look at the winrate by games played. If it dips around 50-100 games played, the champ is easy to learn.

Malphite can be played top and jungle, and you can go AP malphite mid against some match ups. Fairly easy to learn, his kit is simple but you definitely need to know when to ult and time yourself perfectly in order to be effective. He tanks A LOT and scales with HP+Armor so he basicaly doesn't give a shit and still do tons of damage.

Chogath Can be played top mid and jungle too. Kind of like malphite, damage dealing tank with hard CC. His Q can be tricky to land and his ultimate is always fun to use, but he is a little harder because you have to not die in order to be tanky. Malphite can engage the fight and die, if his team can get an ace his job is done. But if cho dies he loses a lot of his max HP.

Kayle Can be played top and mid, and is fairly efficient in the jungle. She has one of the best damage output late game, is not really hard to play since she is auto attack based and her ult is just amazing. The only difficutly on her would be learning to kite properly.

Those are all the champions I can think of that can go top mid AND jungle. They are fairly meta resistant too, The only one I could see falling off would be Malphite if the meta turned to be in favor of AP and magic damage (wich is currently the opposite), but still he could build full AP and still do his job. If you have any questions just ask me!

My favorites:

Nidalee - Jungle, Mid, Top. High skill cap, huge early game pressure, super fun, insane poke damage, high mobility, always meta, squishy. Fizz - Mid, Top, Jungle. Moderate skill cap, good all-game pressure, hilariously easy outplays, high mobility, insane damage, low-cooldown untargetability, tilts enemies, semi-squishy. Ekko - Top, Mid, Jungle. Moderate skill cap, high mid-game pressure, hilariously easy outplays, high mobility, tanky with decent damage, second life R, tilts enemies. Volibear - Jungle, Top. Low skill cap, raid-boss-like all-game pressure, insane tankiness with insane damage, vulnerable to kiting.
