Ward Theory for Supports

Just a Theory - Hard to test, but just a thought

Vision is a combination of ward duration and map area revealed that affects you game rating.

How much vision (area+duration) are you supplying per minute will affect your score.

Duration is easy to understand, how long do your wards stay out compared to time played. The more active wards you have the more "points" you earn , but if you don't replace them before/after they expire, the down time starts to count against you.

Area Revealed feels like this... A ward under you tower where you already have vision isn't worth anything. A ward against a wall is worth a few "points" A ward in a bush against a wall is worth more"points". A ward in the middle of the river or lane that maximizes vision even more "points". Example: A ward for it's full duration in the back of the baron pit is worth less than a ward in the front of the pit because of area revealed.

Your thoughts?

No, because warding strategically isn't always about how many square inches of light can you create. If you're on red side, you drop a ward into the back of baron pit because it's 10x safer than walking around to the front of it. You only need enough vision around objectives to see what the enemy team is doing. A ward in front or behind baron have equal value in knowing if baron's being attacked.
