Fantasy LCS feedback: give more tools than estimated points.

With the second split of Fantasy LCS wrapped up I would like to give Riot some feedback to improve the fantasy client for the summer split and beyond. I have played fantasy football, baseball, and hockey on yahoo since 2006, I have seen the progression of their fantasy client and have built various strategies for being successful in fantasy sports.

The biggest problem with Riot's current fantasy client is that everything is funneled by estimated points. Estimated points are a fine feature to have but they should not govern the experience of the fantasy client. Currently if I want to add or drop a player on my team I have to go to the trade section where I have to sort by estimated points and if I want any more information I have to compare players individually. This wastes your time and doesn't let you view information properly.

The better way to go would be to improve the filters on the stats page and allow players to add, drop, or trade players from there. Right now on the stats page there is no way of narrowing down the players you want to view, every eligible LCS player is on the list. Ideally you should be able to filter down the players by

-Owner (and Un-owned players) -Position -LCS Team or region (EU/NA)

Those options would allow you to narrow down your options when considering players. Filters for comparing different time periods should also be incorporated. Currently you can look at the stats for each week of a split, that is a start. Adding time sorting filters to allow for better comparison would help.

-Last Week -Last Two Weeks -Last Four Weeks -Previous Splits

It would also be useful if you could put the amount of points attributed for each stat category in brackets. For example Wildturtle had 108 kills this split, so you would put 216 in brackets next to that since that is the attributed point value for that stat.

One last thing is if you are going to make projections for points make your projected ratings for players view able all split instead of just at the draft. From this you should also make an algorithm that gives you the actual ratings of all the players in any of the time filters above. This is something every other fantasy sports website does and adds fun and showmanship to the experience.

Like you, I come from a fantasy sports background. And coming from that background, I completely agree with everything you have pointed out. There is one stat, though, that I would like to be able to look at which is sorely lacking and which you failed to mention: fantasy points against. Specifically, when viewing my roster, I would like to be able to see the upcoming opponents' history against the position as well as the ability to view that stat by time periods (such as last week, last 4 weeks, current split, previous splits, etc). I mean, it's nice that the analysts that lolesports has answering questions from viewers can readily site the fantasy points against stats for each team at each position for any given time period, but it would be nice if the user could do the same.

Also, it would be nice if the stats page could have primary and secondary sorting tools. For example, I might want to sort all players by position and then under each position sort by average points per game. Doing this is a great way to see how your players stack up against other players at the same position, which in turn helps you to identify potential wire studs or trade bait. As it stands currently, I must choose to either sort by position or by PPG.

Finally, and I suppose this goes back to access to opposing teams fantasy points against, but having a green/yellow/red scale showing owners who they might want to start (or sit) might help some novice owners to make lineup decisions.

If you hit the stats button half the things you listed are options.
