Fantasy LCS - January 25 Patch Notes

Hey Fantasy LCS players,

We deployed a few changes today that affect roster locking and your ability to add or drop players, and fixed a bug that affected some players who made adds or drops over the past few days. Here's a diagram that illustrates the new roster locking behavior:

**Roster locks now only affect your Starters. **

You are now free at any point to add/drop players from your Alternates no matter what region they're in.

Scenario: I have Piglet (an NA player) starting in Week 1, but I want to bench him after EU locked for the week since he wasn't playing. I have an EU ADC on my Alternates. Whereas before, I wasn't able to swap my EU ADC out without hitting the position cap, I am now able to do so with this change.

**Add/Drop now applies for the currently unlocked week. **

This means that while EU is locked, you won't be able to change your EU starters until NA starts playing. This change prevents the issue some of you saw where your roster was left in a weird state after adding an NA player for an EU player or vice versa on Thu/Fri. We're investigating how to re-enable that scenario in the future, but for now, you'll have to wait until the NA matches start on Sat to modify your EU starters.

Rosters that were in a bad state should now be editable again

Some players who dropped/added NA players for EU players or vice versa over the last few days were eventually left in a state where they could not make changes (if you were affected, you probably saw an error message about the change you were making putting your roster over a position cap) and potentially had more than 10 players on a team. Apologies for the inconvenience here.

For those teams that were affected by this issue, we've edited your team back to a known good state. You might encounter some of the following that are to be expected and will fix themselves once NA rosters lock later today:

• Your Add/Drop roster is now potentially showing your Week 2 roster and players available for Week 2, which is different from your Week 1 roster. Once NA players lock, your roster and add/drop pages will be back in sync.
• You may have a leftover player that appears on your roster page but is in the free agent pool on the add/drop page. You currently own the player for week 1 only. The free agent will be available for pick-up for week 2 and onwards once NA rosters lock. You will encounter an "internal server error" message when trying to pick up that player for week 2 and beyond at the moment.
• If you are still encountering the position cap error message when trying to to move an Alternate to a Starter, dropping them and picking them back up should fix this issue.

Known Issues

• Fnatic vs H2k team's scores are currently not showing up. UPDATE: now fixed
• The 30 minute win bonus is being inaccurately applied. UPDATE: now fixed
