Melog - The Artifice Goliath Golem (WIP; will be reposted when done) (pronounced mailog) MCCC ENTRY

Gameplay Overview:

Melog is a late game tank that is great at long, extended fights, but weak to large amounts of burst. In fights, he is a ticking time bomb, his damage increasing exponentialy the longer fights last.

In lane, Melog's main goal is to farm up and try to propel himself into mid game. He is also great at roaming to other lanes with tp to secure kills for his team. A good balance of good roams and farming is key to his early game.

Lore:

“There, past the boulder,” Vaiya whispered. Vishas looked up to see a massive stone door, runes carved into it. Upon approaching the door, the runes began to respond to Vishas’s staff. “What is this?” Vishas asked as the door slowly slid open. ”Years ago, before the institute of war was built, your ancestors built massive enchanted golems in an attempt to hold Ahimoth back. This is one of the few that survived,” Vishas watched in awe, as the door revealed a towering stone figure, various runes carved onto it. Mounted on its arms were huge obsidian gauntlets, scared with Ahimoth’s magic. A core of gold and sapphire emanated the magic of the rune wars. ”The vision I showed it has already convinced it to link with you; it can read your thoughts and act based on them. It will also obey your verbal commands.“ Vaiya explained. Vishas nodded in acknowledgement. “We will have to see what it can do.”

Eos, Sol, and Kaizer stood frozen, stunned at the sight of the construct being led by Vishas. “That’s… Impressive… I guess..” Eos stuttered. “Let me guess, I have to test this thing.” Vishas nodded. Although the link allowed Vishas to control the golem, it was taking a toll on his mind.

On account of the construct’s size and apparent strength, Eos had doubled the doubled the dummies, setting up 200, and given them all weapons. “Attack.” The titan stood its ground as all 200 dummies charged it. As they surrounded it, its core began to project a massive energy shield and it’s eyes began to glow. Gauntlets spinning, the it began to crush the dummies one by one. After a few seconds, the golem unleashed a devastating punch, the resulting shockwave destroying the 130 remaining dummies. It‘s eyes then returned to their darkened state and the shield disappeared. Eos peered out from the rock he had taken cover behind. “Amazing. It destroyed 200 dummies in less than a minute.”

Kit:

  • Passives:

  • Core Shield: Melog’s core projects all of its remaining energy as a shield, blocking (current energy x level) damage. Melog loses 10 energy for every (10 x level) hp the shield loses and the shield blocks (10 x level) more damage for every 10 energy gained. If the shield is broken, Melog cannot regenerate energy and Core Siphon is disabled for 5 seconds.

  • Core Siphon: Melog’s core drains the energy of nearby champions that he is in combat with in a 400 unit radius, consuming 3% of the enemy’s resource every second. Additionally, Melog gains 6 energy every second for each champion he drains from. (this will not trigger if Melog Is draining 0 of a resource)

  • TLDR; He has a shield that is synced with his current energy. Increasing/decreasing one will increase/decrease the other.

  • Q: Titan Fist

  • Passive: On hit effects also give 10 energy.

  • Active: Melog energizes his fist with runic energy, making his next 7 basic attacks deal 50/70/90/110/130 (+30% AD), increasing by 50% each hit. Additionally, Melog’s seventh basic attack will knock up the enemy it hits for 1 second and deals (100% AD) AoE physical damage.

  • Cost: 50 energy Cooldown: 12 seconds AoE Diameter: 450 units

  • W: Void Aegis

  • Melog’s core becomes enveloped in dark magic, giving Melog 5%/5%/15%/20%/20% bonus magic resist and armor for 2 seconds. Additionally, after a 2 second delay, nearby enemies are snared and slowly moved towards Melog unless they attempt to walk away from Melog or walk toward Melog for 5 seconds. Enemies who walk away from Melog have their movement speed reduced by 30% while enemies who walk toward Melog have their movement speed increased by 30%.

  • Cost: 20 energy Cooldown: 20 seconds AoE Diameter: 600 units

  • E: Vulcan Slam

  • Melog channels for 2 seconds and then leaps to a target location, dealing 70/80/90/100/110 (+30% AD) (50% armor) physical damage to and knocking up all nearby enemies for 1 second.

For each second an enemy is damaged, Colossus’s cooldown goes down 1 second.

  • Active: Melog channels the stolen life force of his enemies, becoming larger, ignoring unit collision and all CC, and gaining 100 range. for 10/12/14 seconds after a 1 second delay. Additionally, during the duration, Melog’s basic attacks apply a stacking 10% slow (stacks 6 times) and regenerate 10/20/30 energy on-hit and Colossus does double damage.
