Cress, the Deadly Cut-purse (Class: Assassin Fighter/Support) (Mana)

Cress is a thin youth who dresses in black. His weapon of choice is a dagger held in reverse. (opposite of how Katarina holds hers) He only uses one dagger instead of two. He is high mobility and has a very gold and utility built build.

Passive: Fleet of Foot

Ignores unit collision and gains movement speed while running away from an enemy champion

First ability: Picking a Mark

Cress dashes to an enemy champion stunning them and taking a small portion of gold from them

Second Ability: Cut and Run

Passive: Passing through an enemy causes Cress to deal damage to them.

Active: Dashes to target location dealing extra damage to those who he passes though. This also inflicts grievous wounds

Third Ability: Stolen Potion

Cress drinks a mysterious potion that turns him invisible for a few seconds. His next basic attack, if the target is a champion, steals a portion of gold from them

Ult: Snatch

Snatch is a toggle passive that is a constant drain on his mana. Snatch causes all enemy self imposed buffs over all power to decrease. Cress then gains the amount loss for twice the time. This includes: Life steal, Spell Vamp, Defense/Attack Speed/Magic Resist. Does not include: Red, Blue, Baron any passive buff. (Example: Cress has Snatch active and Karma puts a shield around an enemy champ. The amount that the enemy champ is shielded for is reduced slightly and Cress gains the missing shield amount well as the movement speed buff for twice as long as the champion would have it.)

Cress is just a strange champ. I would like some feed back. I will most likely add lore here soon.

I like his passive, its kinda cool, HOWEVER, I dislike his abilities.

  1. Stealing gold will NOT be fun to fight against, especially if the values are high enough to make the spells useful.

  2. That ult seems very anti-counterplay, as in, there is ZERO ways to deal with that ult in a fun and reasonable way.

  3. Assassin + Support? I'm not even sure if that archetype, sub-archetype is viable considering assassins need to have HIGH damage or DPS in order to kill crap, and Riot does NOT like having supports do HIGH damage or DPS.

Think about this.

How would YOU like to go against this champion? Just because it's your concept doesn't mean that you're the only one who can use him.

First off.. High mobility? I think that with his passive, he doesn't need very high mobility, I'd say moderate mobility. He doesn't seem very support-esque with that high gold income and only one ability that stuns, but we'll work on that.. I don't mind the dagger as a weapon, but I think it would be more interesting if it were more like a butterfly knife, that's more of a pickpocket's weapon.

Passive- Hahah, bonus when running away? Well, that's new. Kind of a funny idea, a near un-catchable champion unless you position your team right. Also, I think ignoring unit collision should be something that happens only 5 seconds after a basic attack, or that would get really overpowered. ( I mean, think about all the times you've been trying to get out of range of some enemy, and the minions blocked your path because you weren't positioned properly? )

I personally think that stealing the gold directly from your enemy isn't something that should be done. I think he should gain some gold at a dice roll concept, like Twisted Fate's passive. That being said, I think that it could be used on minions as well. I also feel like it should have a reasonably long cool-down so he can't just jump around minions with it. So I don't think it should be like Yasuo's E in the sense of cool-down, but I think that it should be the basis of this ability. A time limit set on when you can use it on the previous target again. Maybe like 10, 8, 7, 5 seconds, based on leveling the skill up. Same with the stun duration, Maybe a 3 second stun at max level? He shouldn't use it unless his positioning is good and 3 seconds at max level seems enough to escape if he has a good strategy (or if the enemy doesn't) .

W-
Passive: Given his Passive being on a time limit, I think that the Passive of this ability would be fine, but I think that the damage over time from the Active should be set here instead.

*Active*: The Active of this ability seems okay to me, I think that instead of dealing extra damage to the enemies he passes through, instead he should gain bonus gold ( 1 to 3 seems reasonable) if he kills any of his enemies while reaching his target, and if he kills his target the cool-down of the active should be reduced by some time, scaling off of leveling the ability up.

E- Okay.. This. I think that instead of stealing some potion, he should put on a disguise to become invisible. I think that seems more criminal-like and less like some magician. I like the next basic attack thing, but I don't think that it should steal gold. I think he has enough ways to get gold already, I think he should simply do extra damage to them (because you know, the element of surprise! ).

R- Annd.. Thiiiss. Okay, I think this needs a total rework. Instead of your idea. (Now I'm not trying to wreck you or anything. ) I think that it would be cool if he was like a Robin Hood type of guy. His ultimate could allow him to distribute his looted gold to his allied champions, as well as raise nearby allies' attack damage and magic damage. In this case, we'd have to have a little marker on the abilities that give him gold. Like Gangplank's "Parrrley". ( Looted Gold: 9,001 ) But it would reset every time he used the ultimate.

All in all, it still needs a bit of revising. Take my ideas into account if you'd like. Also, I'd love to work on the visual part of the concept with you if you'd add me on League.

So, have you met Raena?

Cress is so similar to my original idea for a thief champion (that only exists on paper), I'd almost say you stole it lol.

But you obviously came up with this yourself, so good work. :P

I think riot should really consider adding a gold based champ, whether it be a thief like Cress or Raena, or my other concept Rikur, the Bankmaster of Zaun.

This champion would be a troll for the enemy team figuring that they will never finish their build.
