Nicodemus, The Dark Puppeteer (champion concept)

This is the second time that I have posted this. I have done some reworks from the original which is found here.

Lore: Centuries ago a small ship landed on the shores of the great continent. Out of the ship walked a single man, Nicodemus. Nicodemus spent years wandering the land manipulating events to his advantage. He wiped out races that he deemed to dangerous to exist and caused the rise of several nations. After starting two Rune Wars many people became wise to the existence of Nicodemus. Three summoners of considerable power sealed Nicodemus in stone thus forming the first Nuxus. Even with Nicodemus sealed his power still leaked out and allowed him to create chaos throughout the land. The Nexus that appeared throughout the land are an extension of his power Which is why the League has champions destroy the Nexus in each area.

An unfortunate mistake for the league was not ensuring that every nexus was destroyed every time. One of the Nexus in the Summoners Rift survived for longer than it should have thus allowing it to mature and release something. What came from the Nexus was just a puppet. Nicodemus took this puppet and made it into his avatar. Unsure how to break the bonds that held him Nicodemus offered his puppet up to the Summoners of the League of Legends hoping to bring it down from the inside.

"I am the leader you are all just the puppets..."

Nicodemus, the Dark Puppeteer (Class: Assassin, Resource: Mana)

Basic attack: Nicodemus uses the wires attached to his hands to slash at the enemy giving him a ranged melee attack like Thresh

Passive Ability: Setting the Stage

As long as Nicodemus has not been visible on the enemy map for fifteen seconds he begins stringing wire. If an enemy passes though the wire it takes down all the wires in a large area. That enemy champion becomes marked and is revealed on the map for ten seconds.

(This is a technique that would be hard for them to implement but would help him dominate the vision war. If Nicodemus was the jungler he should not have any trouble in keeping track of who or what is in his jungle. The area that gets taken down is large enough that moderately fast champions would not come in contact with the edge of the next wire until after their mark has expired. After the area is taken down a new wire appears that edges the area that has not been taken down. This way then there is always wire somewhere. I know this is confusing but I dont know how to put it better)

First Ability: In Medias Res

Teleports a short distance to an area and spins his wires around him pushing back every enemy and allies back. Damaging enemies and granting allies a shield.

(Note: the name means in the midst of things and is used as a plot hook in many stories. This puts Nicodemus in the Midst of battle. Or can be used as an escape route.)

Second Ability: Rising Action/Falling Action

First Cast: Wires knock target enemy into the air damaging them.

Second cast: Slams enemy back into the ground slowing them and damaging them.

Third Ability: Red Herring

Sends out an illusion of a random ally champion to investigate a zone. If attacked it will respond and deal 1/2 of the damage dealt to it back. Then it will vanish. If it is not attacked it will just vanish. The higher the level of the ability the more illusions that are sent out. Maximum illusions: 3

(this is meant to be a fun little trick to trick people into wasting their powerful attacks early or allow for an escape, cause a distraction or send damage back to the enemy)

Ultimate Ability: Grand Finale

Sends the wires out and grabs hold of a single enemy champion. Nicodemus becomes rooted, invisible and cannot use any of his other abilities. The enemy can then be manipulated for a short amount of time. If the Champion leaves a large radius then the technique is canceled. Reactivate the ability to cancel early.

(Note: Minions cannot be attacked. If a neutral monster is killed the kill goes to the Manipulated champion and not the manipulator. Ally's of Nicodemus cannot damage the manipulated champion. Any damage done to the Manipulated champion causes the invisibility to flicker and the time of control to lessen. Nicodemus gains control of both their basic attacks and their technique but may not access a persons summoner spells, items or ultimate ability. This technique would drain a massive amount of mana and have an extremely long cool down)

Character Description: Nicodemus wares a black stylized trench coat and has a "Phantom of the Opera" mask on. He has white gloves and silver wires. While he is facing the screen you can see small marionettes that he has in his coat. If left alone long enough he will pull them out and make them dance or fight each other. His voice would be deep and calm but would echo giving it a creepy sound.

His allies are Nocturne, Fiddlesticks and Shaco due to their chaotic nature and that they are followers of Nicodemus

His enemies are Lissandra, Skarner and Aatrox because he was responsible for the destruction of Skarners people, Aatroxes people and for Lissandras sister turning against her.

Thank you for Reading. Please give me feedback and suggestions!

I like the champion concept, but my only problem is the ult. Basically an ult that can completely control another champion doesnt really have a lot of counter play :/. I feel that this would cause a large amount of frustration for anyone who is in lane and is suddenly ganked by your champion. Would they be able to cleanse this ult? I mean would they be able to do anything while ulted? If you walked them under turret would they be hurt by the turret? Basically you could use this ult late game to grab a super fed champion on the other team and walk them to their death completely cutting them off to any kinda of resistance. I like the idea, but I feel for the sake of counter play its a little bit op.

Hey, I know I have a really weird UN but do overlook that. I don't actually play in NA (I used to), rather in SEA, but I came across this post and I think I can help you draw him. I cannot design his in game model as I don't know how to, but I can sketch and draw his basic appearance for you.

You can contact me via e-mail as I'm not sure how notifications work here.

Thanks!

I think this is a pretty cool concept. You should find someone to draw up this champion for you to see his design fully.

Maybe instead of starting to string up wire everywhere in 15 secs if not being seen, perhaps he creates a "trip wire" between two objects in a certain distance.

His ult could drain your own mana as well as the enemy chanpion's while manipulating them if a q,w,e is used. If the champion doesn't use mana, it could create a lesser drainage to their health or bar. An alternate ult could wrap wires around a champion, squeezing the champion in place for damage and stun. If other champions are near the targeted champion then the will become tethered as well and slam all together at the targeted chanpion's location.

I feel like I read this one before? Have I developed {{summoner:2}} IRL or is this a updated/redone post? I still like it, either way.

I like this idea but his ultimate is quite confusing. If you could clear up the ult that would be nice. Also i think that Nicodemis and his ''allies'' should have a skin.

I really like the idea, the kit is unique and the character has depth that can be worked around. However, in the current meta, his passive would be insanely good late game, due to the ward limit, you gain a extreme powerful map-control, baron control, and very useful for dealing with counter ganks. His ult i have questions, can you use the enemy's spells, or is it like Morde's or Yoricks ult? If you can use spells, extremely op, as you can burn ults and then give the body to your team when the duration is up. I feel that his ult should have a GA type effect when the duration is up for the enemy, giving counterplay for the enemy team to react to save the teammate.

Love the idea though! item 3136 should be the opera mask he wears.
