Recently on /All Chat, Melonie, Josh, and James tried their hands at a few of the many popular player created games, like Protect the President, Dodgeball, and Ultimate Bravery.

Donger Dash!

Donger Dash is a death-defying race around Summoner’s Rift or Twisted Treeline made by Phantoml0rd. Two teams set out to do as many laps as possible without dying to turrets, fountains, or enemy champions. For more in depth rules, check out this handy image by ArteFactos.

Protect the Soraka

Similar to “Protect the President” played in /All Chat, except that Soraka Bot is the “president” and you must protect her! Soraka Bot knows what’s “best” for her team, and will charge heedlessly into five enemies, so you must defend her with your life...or kill her if she’s on the opposing team.

Hide and Seek

Hide and Seek is a 5v2 game mode in which the hiders try their best to avoid both the seeker roaming around the map. The hiding champions only have 5 chances to not get caught, or else they are out of the game. For a detailed post about all the intricacies of Hide and Seek, check out this post by Faerlina Sin.

BRAWL!

Brawl is essentially a team death match mode. The goal is to reduce the enemy's total points down to 250 without recalling, capturing points, or leaving the inner circle of the map. Check out this post by Hitsux3 for more information.

Ultimate Bravery

Ultimate Bravery is the most well known of the community created games; it’s essentially a “chaos” version of Summoner’s Rift. Players are automatically assigned a champion, summoner spells, masteries, and a full item build and have to somehow manage to win the game. Support Wars

Support Wars is very similar to Protect the Soraka but instead the president is an AD Carry bot for both teams. Bottom lane has to be the same on both teams, but that’s the only restriction. The goal for each team is to either kill the enemy AD Carry or take the bottom lane turret. Shoutout to StirFriedTeemo for this game mode!

Baron Pit Dodgeball

Dodgeball pits both teams against each other in a suspenseful game of baiting and juking. If you get hit with an ability, you’re out. There’s a fairly complex set of rules, involving champion selection and limits to the abilities you can grab, so check out D0ubD3aD’s post for the full list.

Find the Teemo

Similar to Hide and Seek, Find the Teemo pits both teams against each other to find and kill Teemo! Check out this post by JonOhTin for all the rules and variations of the game.

Factions! We go off of the old riot lore, where the league still exists. We have faction like demacia, noxus, piltover, freljord, etc., in each arc. What the factions are fighting for depends on the arc. Right now, we are in the middle of the arc, lines in the sand where shurima is trying to become an independent state, and Noxus and Piltover are trying to keep the land that they own now that used to belong to Shurima. We have lists of champions that each faction can play, and we play games where each team only plays the champions from that faction. It's pretty detailed and fun, more of a roleplaying game than anything else. I'm in Noxus right now. DEATH TO ALL SHURIMANS! We are having a Factions Friday played today, where we attempt to start more games than we usually do, so if someone wants to come visit us, we hang out in the Factions chat room. They forgot teemo football! Each team must have an ashe and a teemo, the other three champions can be whatever. The goal of the teemo is to make it into the enemy fountain (he must be alive upon entry, sorry yorick), this is a touchdown and is worth 7 points. The goal of the ashe is to shoot her ultimate between the enemy nexus towers, this is a field goal and is is worth 3 points. Games last 30 minutes. Strategies usually involve one person staying in base to try to block ashe arrows, somebody to keep teemo out of fountain, and somebody to help escort teemo to the enemy fountain. Guardian angel and zilean are always banned.

I am actually working on a capture the flag gamemode for me and my friends to play. I think this is a good place to post it because you know, custom game mode post. Basicly you play on summoners rift, one player on each team buys a pink ward and hides it somewhere in their jungle. You have to play a champ with a skillshot of some sort. If you get hit by a skillshot you have to return to your jungle. One team wins when the other pink ward is destroyed. You can't leech xp from lanes (unless its an accident). You can't take jungle camps. If you do level up you don't use the skill points, or just don't use the skill if you prefer. This can be played with any number of people but I think 3v3 or more is the most fun. Anyone think this sounds fun at all?

Let me just say, it's so freaking awesome to see player's taking matters into their OWN hands and coming up with creative, DIY custom modes. Punk as hell boys and girls, keep it up. Good to see The Community coming up with solutions, and refusing to whine about problems. FACTIONS seems like the coolest idea ever. If Riot won't immerse us in lore, WE'LL do it ourselves. And if Riot starts to perceive this a a threat, ie two simultaneous canons where the non-Riot one might be significantly more popular with the playerbase, then Riot might have to step up their game (or another scenario is they say "well, looks like they can handle it now haha"). Either way, I'm going to be playing Factions fo sho. Thanks to http://leaguefactions.net/ for taking the initiative!!!

Ok guys i'm really trying to make this a gamemode, so its pretty much ARAM but everyone is in the jg instead so ARAJ, its based on summoners rift but there only 3v3 not 5v5, this gamemode seems fun to me but idk. Lets just try to make it a game modesummoner 11 item 1039 oh and one more thing, the way to win is you must kill baron w/o letting the other team kill it first, so if your chosen a jg champ your odds of wining are higher

how to play protect the soraka bot: step 1: get this team -trundle -anivia -tahm kench -kalista

step 2: everyone gets mana regen / cooldown reduction step 3: try your hardest to stop the soraka from doing anything

We used to play a mini game called Blind Fishing on SR, Draft pick:

  • 2 teams. Regardless of how many players on each team, there has to be at least 1 Thresh, called The Fisherman.

  • The team playing Fish would go inside the Baron pit and stay in there. They can move around **IN **the pit but not outside it, except for certain conditions. They are also allowed to ward around the pit from inside (that means no going out to ward, only ward out from inside) and attack Thresh if they see him (but be careful, attacking means risking being hooked).

  • Allies of the Fisherman Thresh are banned from entering the pit and attacking the Fish in there, but they can try to reveal the pit with their skills, item 2044 , item 3342 or {{summoner:2}}. However, during revealing time, Thresh is not allowed to hook anyone.

  • The Allies can also clear item 2044 and item 2043 placed around the pit, and kill any enemies they spotted.

  • A item 2043 is to be placed in the enemy base at the beginning of the game by Thresh. No one can destroy it.

  • Thresh can go around the pit but not inside it and he can only hook from outside the pit when fog of war covers it.

  • Whoever got hooked is out, and become Ghost Fish, who goes ward around the pit.

    • If Thresh has allies and the Ghost is killed by the Allies, he can return to Baron pit area to continue supporting his fishy comrades.
    • If Thresh has fewer than 2 allies, the Ghost is only allowed to place item 2043. If Thresh is able to land a hit on him, he is forced to return to base and report to the item 2043 Thresh set up. From that point onward, he cannot leave and he is only allowed to use the {{summoner:2}} and item 3342 (if he has) to support the other Fish.

  • When Baron spawns, the game ends. You can choose to continue it, but if Baron kills all the fish, the game also ends. When Baron triggers his attacks, the Fish HAVE TO escape the pit and return after the hittings stop.

  • Thresh will lose if:

    • Baron spawns (when you don't wanna play with Baron) and he got no fish
    • He hits Baron and accidentally kills all the Fish.

  • Fish will lose if:

    • They all got fished out.
    • Planned Suicidal.
