[Champion Concept] Millenia, the Bane of the Void.

Foreword:

Okay, so this is my second champion concept and my take on the Kassadin daughter champion that people have wanted for so long. Yes, I probably overdid the crap out of this, but if something’s worth doing, it’s worth doing right! The numbers are mainly based off existing champions and I don’t really know how powerful or not they would be in the actual game. Leave a comment if you see any pressing problems or anything you would like clarified.

Appearance:

Millenia is a young woman with black hair flowing behind her and arranged into locks on either side of her shoulders. Her appearance has been altered by her time inside the void and impact it’s had on her. She normally wears white mage robes, but they have been dirtied very heavily at this point, and the bottom part of her legs and left arm and now exposed where her clothes have been damaged. On her left arm, a series of three runes are burned into the outside of her forearm, leaving a trail of purple roots flowing outwards and the runes glowing with void power.

Lore:

Pain. I remember feeling like my whole body was struck ablaze. A kind of magic I never felt before in all my studies. Two voices, both surreal and alien, yet somehow familiar. And then engulfing darkness. I did not understand what had happened at the time, but that pain I felt was soon the least of my worries.

How long it was before I started regained consciousness I am unsure, but I am sure it was not a moment too soon. I found myself surrounded by all manner of unspeakable creatures. I do not know what that had planned for me, neither did I intend to find out. Fortunately I still had my runes attache to my arm at the time, and I was able to erect a barrier to keep them out. They are determined to get to me, persistently hammering away at the barrier with whatever they have. Claws, tendrils, spikes… some even use what appears to be their own kind of magic. Just like that power that sent me here. The thought of my barrier failing occurs to me, but I must not falter. I just need a plan.

A few hours have passed since I awoke. At least I believe that to be true, as there only seems to be darkness here. This place seems to be an unchecked wilderness filled with unfamiliar plants and creatures, almost all of which seem to be hostile. None of them seem to be interested enough to try and breach my barrier, but I cannot let my guard down even for a moment. Whenever I stop, I’m sure I can hear voices. They don’t seem to have any source save the dank, purple sky, and nor can I discern what they’re saying. I can only hope it’s my imagination.

This place is more nightmarish then I realised. Those creatures are determined to reach me, some of them even returning from before. Those voices are very much real at least to me, and I cannot silence them however hard I try. I need to sleep soon but I cannot risk lowering my protection, and my stomach screams for food, but I refuse to risk eating anything I find here. Worst of all, there seems to be no way out. Only more beasts, more voices, more endless purple sky. What will I succumb to first?

More voices… so many voices… GO AWAY! What… what did I ever do? What do you want from me, to die in your sick little world? No, I will not die. Just me and the path ahead. Ignore the pain, ignore the pain, ignore the voices… The moment I stop, they win. YOU WILL NOT WIN, YOU HEAR?

Legs won’t move any more. Strength failing me. This place… this place hates me just as ever. Only a few minutes left now I’m sure. No one is coming to save me, no one would ever come to this wretched place by choice. There is but one way this will end. At least the voices will finally stop.

Something has happened. As my strength faded and my barrier with it, the power of this place reached out to me. Not directly to me, but through the runes I attached to my arm. This strange power flowed through them straight to me, and it that moment they burned their way into my body. It seems that they are now a part of my body as much as my flesh. I will never truly be rid of this place. But my fatigue is finally gone, and my burning hunger forgotten. All of my hatred manifested at that point, and I struck out against those creatures that tormented me for so long. Some were impaled my power, others blasted into dust. It feels like nothing can possibly stop me now. Maybe the barriers keeping me trapped here are too within my reach now.

I made it. Back to that place in which this all began. Those responsible for this nightmare have long since gone, but my appearance has warranted a response. It seems that my arrival was not expected, nor welcomed. Not that it matters. The world that trapped me could not stop me, what chance do they have?

My wave of elation has fallen quite suddenly. It seems that the power that is now a part of me has corrupted my form more than I realised, and worse still, the voices that I thought could only plague me in that place have returned. What scares me even more is that I can understand them now. I understand everything now. That place… no, the void is very real, and the place that was once my prison intends to break out into this world. Worst of all, it wants me as its herald. After everything it made me suffer, it expects me to bring that to this world. Well hear this, you wretched voices. You will regret ever giving me this power. For now I have to strength to fight back. And I will not stop until the last voice is silenced for good.

Abilities

Passive: Void Runes

Millenia charges her void runes through attacks and abilities, improving her resistances and empowering her abilities.

Whenever Millenia lands an auto-attack, she gains 1(level 1)/2(level 7)/3(level 13) armor and magic resistance (tripled for attacks on enemy champions). She also gains armor/magic resistance for 5% of the damage dealt by her abilities (maximum bonus: 10+2xlevel).

Each time Millenia casts an ability, the bonus is consumed, granting the ability a bonus effect.

Q: Nether Spear

Millenia hurls a spear of void energy that deals magic damage on impact and then detonating for further damage, bypassing enemy defences.

Range: 1200 Missile Width: 40 Cost: 60/70/80/90/100 Mana Cooldown: 8 seconds Initial Magic Damage: 40/55/70/85/100(+30% AP) Secondary Magic Damage: 60/90/120/150/180 (+30%AP) After charging for 0.5 seconds, a spear is hurled in the target direction, dealing the initial magic damage and debuffing the target for 2 seconds. If the spear doesn’t hit a target it remains at the end of its path. After the 2 seconds, the spear detonates, dealing the secondary magic damage over a 200 radius and silencing all hit targets for 1/1.25/1.5/1.75/2 seconds.

Passive Bonus: Nether Spear’s damage gains 0.5 flat magic penetration for each point of bonus armor/magic resist consumed (maximum penetration bonus:15). If the maximum possible bonus is granted this way (from either the maximum possible passive bonus available or hitting the hard cap), Nether Spear’s damage will also bypass enemy damage shields.

W: Regenerate

Millenia grants a target champion a powerful boost in health regeneration, and grants her defensive bonuses onto them.

Range: 700 Cost: 70/90/110/130/150 Mana Cooldown: 20 Seconds

Grants a target allied champion bonus health regeneration, restoring 100/160/220/280/360 (+40% AP) health over 6 seconds.

Passive Bonus: The armor/magic resistance bonus is transferred to the target champion. If Millenia targets herself, the bonus is doubled for the duration, then lost after the effect wears off. If the maximum possible bonus is applied, the target also receives the amount of A/MR as % CC reduction for the duration.

E: Null Cage

Millenia creates a series of magical walls centered around her that damage and slow enemies and accelerate allies.

Range: Self Cast: Walls are 350 units from Millenia Cost: 80 Mana Cooldown: 18 seconds

Creates a set of three round walls around Millenia, each spanning 60 degrees and spaced equally around her (one directly behind her, the other two on her left and right sides of her). These walls last for 4/4.5/5/5.5/6 seconds and move and rotate with Millenia. Enemies who walk through the walls take 60/90/120/150/180 (+50%AP) Magic damage and are slowed by 20/25/30/35/40% for 2 seconds. Allied units who walk through the walls are hastened by the same amount. Units can only be affected once per wall, but can be hit again by a different wall (2 second delay before a unit can be hit by another wall). Millenia can reactivate the ability while active to gain the speed boost.

Passive Bonus: Friendly champions who pass through the walls receive the consumed bonus Ar/MR as bonus AD/AP for the 2 second duration, while enemy champions lose the same amount. If the maximum possible bonus is applied, a further 10% boost/penalty to AD/AP is applied (calculated from current AD/AP before the flat boost/penalty).

Ultimate: Let Loose

Millenia releases a powerful burst of magical blasts away from her which displace enemies hit. Void Runes’ power is maximised for a duration afterwards.

Range: 800 Blast Width: 300 units Cost: 100 Mana Cooldown: 130/120/110 seconds Damage per blast: 200/325/450 (+70%AP)

Channels for 1 second, then launches a series of 3 circular blasts, each dealing the same damage. Enemies in the centre 150 units of a blast are knocked up for 0.75 seconds, while enemies on the outer area are knocked away from the centre of the blast. Each blast occurs 0.5 seconds after the previous one, and is spaces 400 units away. This ability is aimed by choosing the location of the initial blast, then the direction the subsequent ones follow, but the trajectory of the blast must be aimed in a 60 degree cone directly away from Millenia’s current location.

Passive Bonus: This ability is not empowered by the passive bonus, but for 8/10/12 seconds after this ability is cast the Armor/Magic Resistance bonus is maximised, and each skill cast grants the full effects without consuming the bonus.
