The Defenders of Valoran

As you all may know...The Church of the Void is spreading their prophecies of Darkness. They are spreading the Evils of Void Magics. The Void is growing, consuming, it is here.

We are The Defenders of Valoran. We are the Final say in this war. We will not fall to this Evil. We are strong.

The Dark Prophecies are molesting the minds of our fellow Summoners. They are scarring the young children. The Voidborn must be stopped. Hear, hear, we must be the ones to unite against them.

Archive Excerpt: The Fall of the Legion When the Void had first arised, the Power legion was created. They were the ultimate force of Valoran.

When it was heard that two of the Legion's strongest Commanders, Jarvan IV, and Darius had become a part of the Void, all hope was lost. The Legion immediately lost their leadership, the ties holding the Legion together were broken. Kassadin could no longer keep control of the great powers within the Legion, because they had never fully respected him, he was touched by the Void. Many left, only a few stayed by his side.

Just months after this group of powerful individuals had been created, it was destroyed.

Archive Excerpt: The Charge of the Light Brigade It was after the fall of the Legion that Kassadin and Kayle began to search again, to restore the once mighty alliance. Leona was quick to join, along with Lux and Jayce.

Soon, the Brigade swelled in ranks, enlisting even the villains of Valoran. Swain joined the cause, and Viktor, though at odds with Jayce...stood by his side. This was coming together just as Kassadin had dreamed. But yet again, betrayal.

Brand, who had sought to not only burn the Void to ashes, became greedy and turned to Lissandra. With her alive, he knew that he could not have his way with the world, so he fought her, bringing her down. As the final blow was to be delivered, Xerath the mighty Ascendant, blasted Brand and he was no more. This shocked Kassadin. He had never thought it would happen again, but another battle would be fought...amongst his own comrades.

Sides were taken, Xerath and the rest of Valoran's villains against Kayle and the heroes. Death tolls surmounted, but they kept fighting on.

In the last battle, Xerath began to overpower Kayle. She could not go on longer. Instead, Karma carried on the battle with Xerath, seeking to put an end to all of this destruction. Syndra and Irelia joined her as well, though for their own purposes. Xerath began to feel his power die, the battle was taking it's toll. Karma decided that the time to end had come, and she began the Imprisonment.

Irelia and Syndra, however, did not want to seal Xerath away. Syndra wanted his power, Irelia knowing this, wanted to destroy him. They interrupted the ritual, which resulted in Karma becoming absorbed into the Ascendant. Irelia was stunned, and Syndra took this opportunity to siphon the power, and Ascended.

It was 10 years after the Light Brigade's fall that Kassadin finally gathered enough strength to begin a new defense.

He took the remaining few from the Brigade, and the last of the Legion and created the Defenders. Though many enlistments were questioned, he gave no ****s, and started anew.

This is their beginning, The Defenders of Valoran.

The Defenders exist to stop all outworld Evils. It exists to save the countless generations to come.

Creed(Originally from the Brigade) We will not stand for this madness. We will not fall for this blasphemy. We will defend our home. We will save our people.

UNITE. UNITE. UNITE. Though our numbers may seem small, our Power remains large. The growing cloud of Darkness looms over us, it is confusing. But we will not falter. We will not fall. Instead we will stand, and fight, and win.

Others have joined their cause, they have lost their will. But our vigor remains stalwart.

We must save this world, we must preserve.

Because if we don't......who will?
