Hello Summoners. I am utDOOM and this is my first champion concept and my first major forum post so, any kind of constructive criticism would be greatly appreciated. I may take a few hours to a day to answer coments so BEAR with me. :D

ABILITIES

  • Passive: Ancient Tales

  • Silen's AD doesn't scale by level. Instead, it is increased by 60+100%/110%/120%/ 130%/140%/150%/160%/170%/180%/190%/200%/210%/220%/230%/240%/250%/260%/270% of Silen's armor penetration. (percentage armor pen is multiplied by 12 then calculated as flat armor pen)

  • Q: Vengeance

  • Silen's next basic attack is shot into the air, increasing its range to 1200 units. If an ally has been slain nearby Silen 6 seconds (or less) before vengeance's activation, Silen will try to avenge his ally, making his next basic attack also deal 10/20/40/70/100 (+90% bonus AD) bonus physical damage. Vengeance deals no damage to towers.

  • Cooldown: 18/17/16/15/14 seconds

  • Cost: 30/35/40/45/50 mana

  • Nearby=1000 units

  • W: Darkened Past

  • Passive: Every one second that an enemy champion is attacking Silen, the enemy's AD and armor is reduced by .5%/.8%/1%/1.5%/2% for 2 seconds. (stacks 10 times)

  • Active: Silen uses an enemy's past to torture them, dealing 70/90/110/130/150 (+50% AP) magic damage over 6 seconds to them.

  • Cooldown: 20/18/16/14/12 seconds

  • Cost: 50/60/70/80/90 mana

  • Range: 600 units

  • E: Piercing Silence

  • Silen fires p piercing arrow that deals 50/60/70/80/90 (+70% AD) physical damage to enemies it passes through (dealing 10% less damage each time it passes through an enemy) and silences them for 2 seconds. Additionally, enemies hit by the arrow are marked with Pierced for 8 seconds. Silen's basic attacks consume the mark to reduce the enemies' Armor by 4%/8%/12%/16%/20% and increase Silen's Armor Penetration by the same amount as the armor shredded by the mark. (caps at 4/8/12/16/20 bonus Armor Penetration.) Only one mark can be triggered. When a mark is triggered, the other marks will be cleansed.

  • Cooldown: 12/12/11/11/10 seconds

  • Cost: 30/40/50/60/70 mana

  • Range: 590 units

  • Cast Time: .5 seconds

  • R Final Reckoning

  • Silen loads his crossbow with a massive, flaming arrow, making his next basic attack have 200 bonus range, deal 300/325/350 (+ 90% AD) bonus magic damage, and deal 80% of that damage too enemies in a cone on top of the enemy targeted by the basic attack. Additionally, if Vengeance was activated before Final Reckoning, the bonus range is increased to 600 and the AoE is changed to a circle. The bonus damage from Vengeance will also be dealt in the AoE.

  • Cost: 100/100/100 mana

  • Max Cone Length: 800 units

  • Min Cone Length: 400 units

  • AoE Diameter: 1200 units

  • Cast Time: 1.5 seconds

Hmm.... So, his passive hurts him ALOT in the early game due to the fact that most armor pen comes from item, the bonus armor pen from the E helps i assume, but with plus 80% per level with 100% base means over 1000% armor pen is converted into extra damage, that means that his E's activation gives him over 6000 damage a shot. So, may want to change some things there.

His q is OP. A free near sight range shot, no skill involved, sure he needs some sort of poke, but taking Jinx's Q and making it an AA ability that can HIT TOWERS is a little bit OP.

His Ultimate does alot of damage, and the overall AP scaling of his abilities makes him less marksman and more ezreal like, with only a couple real damage dealers.

My suggestions:

Give him back per level AD and make his passive a SMALL Percent armor pen increase per level

Make Q a long range skillshot that ignores a portion of the targets armor, scaling by level with AD scaling, possibly with a charge up to max range and/or damage (Kind like powering up or aiming his crossbow).

Make his W have every basic attack apply a small armor shred debuff, either as flat or a percentage, with a max number of stacks on a single enemy, have his other abilities also apply stacks (hes only ever using a crossbow). Make the activation deal a flat amount of AD, removing all stacks on target and dealing bonus damage based on stacks consumed (rewards careful timing and consistent engagement).

Make E give your next AA a short silence (like 1 second) and a small amount of armor shred.

Keep R, but change some of the stats around to make it more balanced.

Overall make the theme more clear, is he a vengeance guy? A haunting past guy?

Overall, make sure ALL his armor pen, when combined together onto a single target and possible armor pen items, isnt fucking ridiculous. Like if he ignores any more than 50% of a SINGLE targets armor with abilities alone, its not good.

Also NOTE. I do not want you to copy my suggestions, just look at my feedback. balance the stats, and if you DESIRE, then you can use ASPECTS or themes of my suggestions to improve your champion.

SO MUCH ARMOR PEN O_O

also with vengeance, does it activate ANY TIME an ally dies? cause it's not really revenge if top lane dies to the enemy jungler and you're just fighting bot lane still.

The crossbow concept is cool, I just think you need to work on the kit a little.

Hmm... The kit, interesting.
Starting with the passive, its interesting but far too odd. There are only 3 items with Armor Penetration (4 if you count the Brutalizer), 2 Runes (Armor Pen Marks and quints), and one mastery (6% Armor and Magic Pen). Assuming you built Last Whisper + Youmuu's Ghostblade + Black Cleaver (for whatever reason), Armor Pen Marks and Quints, and the mastery you would have around 44.08 flat armor pen and 61% percentage armor pen (including the 20% penetration from 4 Black Cleaver stacks). Also, the percentage armor pen would change when you attack something different. Where does flat and percentage armor pen factor in to stay consistent? Very confusing and awkward passive for a Marksman.
Moving into the Q, really like the idea of avenging an ally, however, you should work the into a passive somewhere in the kit rather than having a 6 second window. Also, the Q scaling is ridiculous. Very weak early and then turns into a late game nuke. Here's my take:

Q - Vengeant Spree Cost: 40 mana / Cooldown: 12/11/10/9/8 seconds
Passive: Each time an allied champion dies near Silen, his next two basic attacks will deal an additional 20/40/60/80/100 (50% bonus AD) physical damage.
Active: Silen's increases his autoattack range to 1200 and gains 4/8/12/16/20 flat Armor Penetration for four seconds.
Note: Vengeant Spree's cooldown triggers once the active has expired.

I hope that would help work it all together. About the W, I really like it. Although, maybe it would better if read like this:
Silen tortures nearby enemy units reducing their Attack Damage and Armor by 2% and dealing 10/20/30/40/50 (60% AP) physical damage each second for four seconds.

The E... No. Just no. By maxing E first, Silen would be dealing true damage, even with the conditional "only cast q". By building penetration into the rest of his kit, you can change the E. The name is very cool, but the free pen is crazy OP. Try this:
Piercing Silence Cost: 50/55/60/65/70 mana / Cooldown: 20/18/16/14/12 seconds
Silen focus his shot onto a target, dealing 25/50/75/100/125 (100% total AD) magic damage, applying on-hit effects, and silencing the target for 1.5 seconds.
This allows Silen to deal with caster-ADCs and ensure he can reduce armor with his Q+W.

The ult is good. Maybe lower the base and up the scaling however. I hate to almost tear Silen apart, but he just needs to be brought in line is all. Thank you for posting and keep your champs coming!

Would the W passive end as soon as say the enemy champ flees from silen or would it continue as long as silent perseveres firing at them?

I think that you should focus his kit more around the idea of time and past as there is only his w that mentions anything of it. I know that the lore will probably explain it but there should be more of that idea in his character.
