Arcelia Iskra, Herald of the Storm

Stats Health: 375 (+79) HP5: 5.4 (+0.6) Mana: 250 (+50) MP5: 6.3 (+0.6) AD: 50 (+2.6) AtkSpd: 0.66 (+2.1%) AR: 15 (+3) MRes: 30 (+0) Range: 550 MvSpd: 330

Innate: Conduit After 5 seconds out of combat, Iskra's mana regeneration increases fivefold. This and her (hopefully) high mana costs should create opportunities for counterplay where she can either be OOM or miss last-hits.

Q: Shock Nova Range: 550 Damage: 60/105/150/195/240 + 40% AP Mana cost: 90/105/120/135/150 CD: 14/13/12/11/10 Creates a 550-radius circle around her for 1.5/1.75/2/2.25/2.5 seconds. Enemies cannot cast movement skills in or into the circle. Enemies in the outermost 100 units take magic damage. As Iskra has no escapes, this is her way of defending herself from diving opponents.

W: Spark Range: 1000 Damage: 60/100/140/180/220 + 50% AP per sphere Mana cost: 50/60/70/80/90 CD: 10/9/8/7/6 Creates 3 spheres of lightning that travel linearly in a 45-degree cone. Enemies can be hit by multiple spheres. Long-range, a sniping tool. Also works as a way of bursting down anyone that jumps on you.

E: Arc Range: 850 Damage: 60/105/150/195/240 + 60% AP Mana cost: 70/85/100/115/130 CD: 10 Iskra casts forth lightning that chains to another target up to 4 additional times. On each subsequent hit, enemies take 50% reduced damage. Waveclear and poke.

R: Storm Call Range: 1200 Damage: 150/225/300 + 75% AP per marker Mana cost: 100/125/150 CD: 120/105/90 Summons 3 markers in an equilateral triangle 150 units apart. After 1.75 seconds they explode dealing magic damage to units in 200 (+25 for every 100 AP) range. Should be dodgeable. Damage from markers stacks, so someone standing in the middle gets triple the damage.

Lore When she was young, Iskra loved studying the skies of her home, near Mount Targon. Nothing intrigued her so much as thunderstorms with their lightning. Ignoring her parents' warnings, she once went to the mountain's peak during a thunderstorm. Lightning struck her. When she came to, all that was left of the storm was a fractal scar on her shoulder, in the shape of a bolt of lightning. Afterwards, Iskra gradually began to notice that she could summon lightning. Having heard of the Institute of War due to the Kalamanda Incident, she sent a letter there, seeking knowledge of what had happened to her. Professor Ryze sent her an invitation which she accepted.

Description (and Personality?) Iskra is a young woman of about 15 years. She is intensely curious, and actively seeks to further her knowledge. She is of average height for her age, slim, and has blue-black hair, dark skin, and electric blue eyes. She is not very good with people. She wears a loose, black silk robe and trousers with a light blue sash around the waist.

VO lines "I tried to come up with a joke, but it wasn't shocking enough. Get it?" "You could say that I'm ... shocking." "You can't escape the storm." "You thought that a youth couldn't kill you? I'm shocked; shocked, I tell you!" "Who knows, maybe your corpse will have as nice a scar as my shoulder has?"

Skin ideas Soulcall Iskra: changes particles from electric blue to a ghostly green, adds echo effect to VO, model looks creepier. Stellar Iskra: particles are black with white stars. Wand is a telescope. Scientist Iskra: Iskra in a labcoat. Desert Strom Iskra: Iskra in a white, loose robe. Particles changes to sandlike.

The word count on a CB post is so astronomically high (especially if you are posting a champion concept) that you can include everything in the OP just fine.

Oh OK! I just heard that there was a word limit and no counter. Will move things.

Flintfall1 votes

That was a while ago, if you look at other concepts, they scroll down for seemingly forever, so I doubt the word limit is that much of an issue.

For the actual concept, I love your take on a lightning mage, and overall the whole concept speaks (I spent a lot of time and ingenuity on this) to me. There could be so much more on the extra details though (maaybe some pictures?).

Thanks! I do have some graphical talent, so you might get some pictures. Any other extra details you'd like to know?

Not in particular, just some visual representations

Okay, how do I use the attachment thingy? I see no buttons apart from delete. ._.

I never bothered with attachments, so I wouldn't know, however I use image hosting websites such as Imgur.

Oh wow, nice art!

just to note on this subject, there is a word count limit, but it only applies to to the initial posting you can add infinitely more with subsequent edits. You don't have to worry about text limits at all, it's when you have a dozen video embeds and what not where a problem may occur, as it'll crash the OP.

I may or may not be speaking from experience here.......hehe :P

Quite the interesting kit there, I'm loving how the ultimate works. And those skins, as soon as I read the first one I loved them!

I do think that the lore section is really lacking. Not much depth into her background. There could be some more VO lines as well, but that's understandable since it's so hard to come up with good ones. All I can say is, channel your inner Phreak and make more electricity puns :P

Thanks! For the ult I was thinking, "what in this (other than damage) could scale with AP?" and I got "range". As I said earlier, there will probably be some pictures.

I tried with the puns, but they weren't shocking enough :P

You weren't joking about the high mana costs o.o

I'm wondering if Shock Nova will allow people to dash into the 100 unit range where they can take damage; I'd hate to be playing and cast her Q a bit too early and just have the enemy not take damage since they were blocked out of the area. I'm wondering why it's only limited to the outermost 100 units too. I do like your concept though, good work!

cshakes1 votes

Currently, not. I see it more as an "oh god don't jump on me" ability than an "you're on top of me? goooo awaaay" ability (she's got Spark for that). It should discourage any enemies from simply Ghosting in.

Your idea of letting enemies dash into the damage zone is interesting; do you think it would work with the current numbers, or would it need some additional range?

MrBuffington1 votes

I don't see why it wouldn't work with the current numbers. It'd make the spell a bit more forgiving to use, I think. It's hard to gauge the outermost 100 units of your spell when you're being jumped on by the enemy team.
