Jax's complete history is unknown, and probing into it is one of the few things that truly gets on his nerves, alongside stealthy warfare and comments on his fingers. However, there are many things we can say about him. First, from his body structure comes the knowledge that he comes from the Neindaart'haal people, a sparse tribal race who adamantly stood against all opponents for their millennium history. However, their stubbornness was no match for the growing powers of recent decades. The independent tribes were no match for superior numbers and technology, and thus delegated to nothing but a slave race, leaving the Neindaart'haal people a mere shadow of their former selves. We don't know for sure what tribe he originated as most of their cultural artifacts were destroyed along with the tribes, but Jax declares that such things 'don't matter and never will' in an apathetic and monotonous tone.

Of course, Jax wouldn't be known just for his enslaved people or his appearance. A combatant with few equals, Jax constantly wanders Runeterra, seeking good fights, drink, and a chance to make someone's day. There may be many other things he seeks when he watches the rising sun, but always quickly dismissing them before setting off once more on his selfish, lonely journey.
