Can we stop using the term "grey" to explain everything about a character's motivation?

It's honestly getting pretty boring at this point. Besides, what happened to the rest of the colors anyway? You can add blues and reds and yellows in and get whatever you want out of it. Of course things aren't always black and white and people have reasons for things, but isn't it more important to ask whether those reasons feel justified in the first place as opposed to following the 'show don't tell rule' but this time it's the 'show and tell' rule?

Just wanted to get this off my chest because the buzzword has been beaten to death at this point.

Black and white are used to represent the polar extremes, like the Chaotic Evil and the Lawful Good from say the DnD alignment system (though the worst evil and best good are arguably Neutral Evil and Neutral Good respectively, but I digress).

Grey is just something used to cover everyone in between, for who doesn't have a motivation that can be easily categorised as either good or evil, as it's a colour you get from mixing white and black.

The spectrum goes from pure black, to different shades of black, to different shades of grey approaching black, to pure grey, to different shades of grey approaching white, to different shades of white, then pure white. Or something like that.

A completely grey character can be described as True Neutral or amoral.

There are just some aspects of people that are more clear that others. Just a there are shades of grey, there are shades of white and black.

Now call me a no life but im here in these boards quite often and I haven't seen that buzz word in a good long time. In fact the only buzz word i see, albeit's more a phrase is "X champ needs new skin" that stuff is truly annoying at times.

Edit: Im sorry OP but your post is nothing related to Story, Art or Sound. Nor is it an issue that really NEEDS adressing.
