(Champion Idea) Veridia, the Mark of Vengence

Hi Summoners, this Thread is about a Champion idea I came up with. Veridia is an AP melee assassin that, like most assassins, has a terrible early game, but does great in the late game. The names for all of her abilities and damage for them is interchangable, I just want to get her concept across.

**Passive: Code of Twilight **(two part passive)

Gathering Shadows: Veridia passivly stores Gathered Darkness, which she uses to cast her spells. Max of 500 Gathered Darkness, Regenerates 25 per second and when she kills a minion, monster, or enemy Champion, she gains 25 Gathered Darkness. When she reaches full 500 Gathered Darkness, Veridia's next ability will have a 100% chance to apply Share the Suffering.

Share the Suffering: Veridia has a chance to do bonus damage to enemy Champions with her abilities.Think of it as a crit strike for spells. 5 /10/15/20/25/30% Chance to do bonus damage. 30/50/70/90/110/130 + 20% of AP for bonus spell damage.

Eldritch Strike, Q: Veridia withdraws dark energy and launches in target direction dealing magic damage to the first enemy hit. Damage: 25/50/75/100/125 + 60% of AP Cooldown: 2 seconds Cost: 50 Gathered Darkness

Silhouette, W: Veridia expends a large amount of her Darkness to form a protective shield against Champion spells. If a spell hits Veridia while it is active, she will turn invisible for 1.5 seconds, leap a great distance away and leave a clone in her place. Veridia takes no damage for the spell and jumps away from whoever it was the casted the spell. Shield Duration: 1/1.1/1.2/1.3/1.4/1.5 Cooldown: 40/35/30/25/20 Cost: 200

Dark Hex, E: Veridia curses target enemy, dealing magic damage and marking them for 3 seconds. Any spell that ignites the mark will apply Share the Suffering. Damage: 100/130/160/190/220 + 80% of AP Cooldown: 10/9/8/7/6 Cost: 100 Gathered Darkness

Sweet Revenge, R: Veridia leaps to target enemy Champion dealing a large amount of magic damage and marking them. If the marked target is killed, Veridia jumps back to where she casted the spell. Damage: 100/250/400 + 100% of AP Cooldown: 50/40/30 Cost: 250 Gathered Darkness

At a young age, Veridia's quiet Ionian village was ransaked by a Noxian raid party. She hid under her bed and watched helplessly as her parents were slaughtered by a lone axe bearing soldier. She never could forget the sight of her mother's blood dripping off of the blade of that axe. When the chaos had finally ended nothing was left of the village excpet for the ashes of it's houses and the bodies of it's citizens. She swore that she would avenge her family, even if it meant killing the ones who did this to her home. For years, she travled across all of Runeterra in search of the power she would need to get revenge on Noxus. She did anything to grow stronger. She didn't care the cost of her actions, she had no regrets. Veridia gave away everything to learn new techniques to kill. During her time in the Shadow Isles, she met a demon who was willing to teach her and ancient shadow magic, lost in time. But in return, the demon wanted her soul, once she had completed her task of vengence. She didn't hesitate to accept the transaction. She left the Shadow Isles in search of more knowledge. In her travels, she heard rumors of the League of Legends, a place for her to hone her skills and possibly settle the score with Noxus and the one who killed her parents. She is now regarded as on of the greatest assassins in the League.

THIS IS NOT A FINAL DRAFT! All I really wanted was the second part of the passive, the spell crit idea, the rest just came with it. Again, all the names and numbers can be changed if she does to much damage. If she gets 500 AP, her Q alone, if it applies her passive, would deal 625 damage, and it is on a 2 second CD so that may be an issue. Please tell me what you think of her, and hey, if it gets enough likes, who knows, maybe Riot will make her. I'll keep my fingers crossed, and I hope you will too.

nice champion but i think her W is bit too strong. i mean it gives her a shield and if any spell hits it, she becomes invisible AND jump away AND leaves a clone in place. I think maybe just increasing the cooldown to say maybe 10.0 sec and increase mana cost so that she cant just spam the ability easily will make the spell more balance. Overall nice idea

How would the jump back on her w work? Would she pick a destination as she casts the spell, or would it be completely random? And how far would the distance be on the jump as well? (I like this idea a lot but maybe the scaling needs to be fine-tuned)

And with her passive, maybe have it work like the new champion's does? Rather than 25 per second, she gains 20 or so by walking to encourage roaming?

If you want this idea to really get booming, if you can find someone to make concept art, you'll get a lot more attention for it

I think it's an amazingly interesting idea. :) I would say the passive is potentially OP, though.

Let's take her strongest ability into account, with a full AP build: a max glass cannon set up of 1020 AP, or even an average AP powerhouse build of 800 or so.

PASSIVE: 30/50/70/90/110/130 + 20%

ABILITY:100/250/400 + 100%

Sooooo... At top level, that's 400+(800)+130+(160)= 1490 damage

Add in the rest of her abilities,

100/130/160/190/220 + 80%

25/50/75/100/125 + 60%

1490+220+(640)+125+(480)= 2955 damage total, assuming she doesn't have item 3128 for even more damage.

Overall, this is just a worst case scenario. There aren't a lot of people who build 800-1000 AP, but it is possible.

And, even then, that is lower than I initially thought it would be. My overall opinion on the character is that she could turn into a mid lane powerhouse. lol. Keep it coming!

the champion itself kinda sounds like Evelynn and zed but it sounds really cool

so im guessing her w would send her away from whoever hit so like backwards. also I think her e and r should be a combo move so when you mark them and you activate your ultimate it automatically attacks who you targeted. and yeah her w seems a bit to op with the shield and clone. but otherwise really good job

Over all, a great concept. I feel there are rough patches but besides that, phenomenal.

Thank you all for commmeting, all of the points you guys brought up are big issues. I am aware that her damage is so ridiculous, but notice how she has no AoE meaning no clear time. The damage and range of her spells definitivly need to be worked out so I ask for your help. And TRAVELERSUNTIE about your question on the W and her Passive, the W gives her a shield for a period of time and let's say, for example, Veigar puts his E stun down. If Veridia walks into the stun, she jumps away from where ever Veigar is standing and leaves a clone to look like she is there. About the Passive, if she gains more Gathered Darkness from walking, she comes to close to Yasuo. I definitivly want some interesting kink in her passive, I just can't think of one. If you get any ideas, post them. And the idea of a Concept Art is great! I can't draw at all and I don;'t know many people in the LoL Community who do, so if anyone knows someone willing to draw Veridia for me, I will be in your debt. I'll describe what I want her to look like in a later post.

Hey, I have a new idea for Veridia's passive. This would only effect the Gathering Shadows part. She still has max of 500 Gathered Darkness and once she reaches 500, her next spell still applies Share the Suffering, but now, instead of just passively generating Gathered Darkness, she only gains it when she kills an enemy unit (minion or monster). Also, if she kills or assists in the killing of an enemy Champion, she instantly gains 100 Gathered Darkness. The only other way she generates Gathered Darkness is if she is unseen by the enemy team. Like how when the enemy team doesn't see Kha'Zix, he gains his passive bonus damage, she gains plus 3 Gathered Darkness every second she is unseen. This aren't final, I just want to hear what you guys have you say about the idea.
