Lore: Unlike his older brother Pantheon, Marko was a problem child. He spent most of the days when he should have been training exploring the wonders of Mount Targon. The local wildlife flocked to the gentle boy that lived in the harshest of environments. After hearing of the Heretic Diana’s discovery of ancient weapons sealed in a vault on the mountain Marko made it his goal to find one. Markos explorations one day paid off as he found a small cave at the base of the mountain. Journeying in he found something that astonished him, an old man.

The old man, Cain, slowly began telling Marko stories of all the things that he had seen. Cain had been the smith that had forged the rune weapons for the Rakkor centuries before. His son had been the first Sun Warrior and his Daughter had been the first Moon Warrior. Marko began spending all of his time chatting with Cain. The two of them formed a bond as close to blood as one can achieve.

As the solstice and the Rite of Kor neared in Markos 16th year he expressed to Cain that he did not want to participate in the fights. Cain, feeling his plight decided to help out Marko and for the first time in centuries began forging a rune weapon unlike any before.

Marko, however, made the foolish choice of telling his brother of the smith and Pantheon killed Cain as he headed to join the League of Legends when Can refused to make new rune weapons for him. When Marko went to speak to the smith on the day before the Rite of Kor he found him lying in a pool of blood next to his forge. In a fit of rage Marko grabbed the weapon Cain had been forging for him, a pair of silver shields. In his rage the shields fused together and covered him to armor.

Charging up the Mountain his village saw him coming and sent an adult to deal with the charging suit of armor. They did not survive nor did the other 12 fighters who attempted to stop him. When Marko eventually calmed down the armor disengaged and returned to the two shield form. Feeling dejected and alone the gentle giant took the shields and submitted himself to the League of Legends, a place where he could do the most good and perhaps one day control the raging state that surrounded him when he donned the armor.

One part unstoppable force, one part immovable object- Jax, the Arms master

Marko, the Grand Shield (Class:Tank. Resource: Fury)

Passive Ability: Protector/ Unstoppable

Protector causes Marko to take reduced damage when hit from the front and increased damage when hit from behind. Any hits he takes increases his fury. 1 for a minion attack from ether side. 2 for a champion attack from his front. 5 for a champion attack to his back. When his ultimate is active Protector becomes Unstoppable making him immune to stuns.

First Ability: Side step/ Dash

Allows Marko to jump in target direction while still facing the same way. If it hit an allied champion Marko puts them behind him. While his ultimate is active it causes Marko to Speed up slightly but burns more fury

Second Ability: Shield Slam/ Backhand

Marko charges forward and slams his shield into a persons face slowing them and knocking them back slightly. While his ultimate is active Backhand deals massive damage and sends target flying but consumes more fury.(Think Tristinas Buster canon.)

Third Ability: Hidden Lance/ Fissure

Marko aims one of his shields and sends a projectile lance hidden underneath it at an opponent. While his Ultimate is Active it causes Marko to punch the ground and slow enemies in a strait line in front of him. Doing so consumes more fury

Ultimate Ability: The Mark of Cain (Can only be done at 100 fury)

Markos shields activate and cover his body in armor (he channels for a brief moment). Marko stays in this form as long as he has fury. Killing a minion or neutral monster nets 1 fury. Killing an enemy Champion will net 10 fury. While in this form Marko takes no damage and his movement speed inceases. All damage is accrued into a damage pool. Once Marko runs out of fury he changes back and takes damage equal to a portion of the accrued damage. Marko is also slowed for a short time.

Marko would work similar to Shivana. He would gain fury then become a force to be reckoned with. However due to the high power of his ult I felt that it had to have a major drawback to prevent it from becoming overpowered. It would be possible for Marko to die when his ult ends from enough damage being dropped on it.

As for his design. Marko is a large character who holds two silver tower shields, one with the mark of the sun and the other with the mark of the moon. He wears simple clothes and no armor. When his Ult activates the shields cover him in metal and vanish leaving an armored Knight with no sword or shield. when his ult runs out he is released in a blast of steam.

For an alternate skin there would be Crimson Marko. His shields and armor would be ruby red. (for those who did not pick up on it he is based on the Juggernaut from Marvel Comics)

Please tell me how I could make this character better. I know he probably would never become a champion but I like him.

Dude, that ultimate... Takes 0 damage? it's like a Kayle Ultimate that can run forever as long as you don't use the abilities. Change it so that fury is lost over time. Make the CD to at least as long as tryndameres or kayles ultimate to make it fair. Or you can make it so that theu take damage from turrets because if you nullify turret damage for long periods of time, you basically can't die. At level 6, just walk to the turret and kill it. too broken imo.
