[Champion Concept] Amon, the Omen of Zaun

Hello there, fellow Summoners. I am Captain Wednesday, and I would like to present to you my champion concept, Amon, the Omen of Zaun. Amon is a former street rufian who after attempting to assassinate an hexplosive engineer was severely injured. Missing an arm, an leg, and half of his face, Amon was in need of help. Viktor, the Machine Herald promised to rebuild him in exchange for his services. Without a real choice, Amon was rebuilt half-man, half-machine. Amon hunts the evil and nonbelievers that plagues his city in the name of the Glorious Evolution. By joining the League, Amon can advance the Revolution and hopefully end the crime that plagues his city forever. Amon is a fighter-assassin, that excels in 1v1 engages and eliminating high priority targets. This is my 5th champion! I present to you now, Amon:

Amon, the Omen of Zaun Primary Class: Fighter / Secondary: Assassin
Attack Power: 8 / Defense Power: 3 / Ability Power: 3 / Difficulty: 5

Health: 440 (+84) / Health Regeneration: 6.25 (+0.7) / Mana: 220 (+35) / Mana Regneration: 6.75 (+0.4) / Range: 125 (Melee) / Attack Damage: 51 (+3.25) / Attack Speed: 0.665 (+2.8%) / Armor: 20 (+3.5) / Magic Resistance: 30 (+1.25) / Movement Speed: 345

Passive - Bounty Hunter
Each time an enemy champion acquires a kill, they recieve two Bounty Marks (one for assists). Amon's basic attacks and abilities deal 1% increased damage per mark to enemies with Bounty Marks. In addition, he earns 1% increased gold per mark on enemy champions he kills. If Amon kills an enemy unit that has Bounty Marks, the marks will be reset. If Amon is killed, all enemy champions lose 1 Bounty Mark.

Q - Combatant Knife Toss Cost: 60 mana / Cooldown: 14/13/12/11/10 seconds
Amon throws his knife in a line, striking the first enemy unit it hits, dealing 60/110/160/210/260 (75% bonus Attack Damage) and slows the enemy hit by 25% for two seconds. If the knife strikes an enemy unit in the back, the damage is increased by 2/4/6/8/10% and the slow duration is doubled.

W - Spiked Suit Cost: 70 mana / Cooldown: 24/22/20/18/16 seconds
Amon's armor erupts with spikes, dealing 55/85/125/155/185 (25% Attack Damage) physical damage and applying Grievous Wounds for 4/5/6/7/8 seconds to all nearby enemy units.

E - Capture Cord Cost: 55/60/65/70/75 mana / Cooldown: 18 seconds
Amon fires a high power cord in a line dealing 40/80/120/160/200 (50% Ability Power) magic damage to the first enemy unit hit and snaring it for 1.5 seconds. In addition, the enemy hit gain two temporary Bounty Marks for five seconds.

R (Ultimate) - Mortar Hellfire Cost: 100 mana / Cooldown: 120/100/80 seconds
Amon fires a powerful incendiary missile from his suit in a line, aimed at a target 300-range circle. Enemies that the mortar passes through are dealt 30/60/90 (25% bonus Attack Damage) physical damage + 6% of their maximum health as magic damage. Upon reaching its location, the mortar violently erupts, dealing 60/120/180 (50% bonus Attack Damage) physical damage. The explosion leaves the area charred, dealing magic damage equal to 3% of any enemy unit's maximum health that walk over the area each second.

EDITS:

  • Added "In addition, he earns 1% increased gold per mark on enemy champions he kills." to the Bounty Hunter passive and "If Amon is killed, all enemy champions lose 1 Bounty Mark."
  • Revised high base numbers.
  • Removed shield from W and reduced cost from 75 mana -> 70 mana.

The passive is very unique and good. But with a name like Bounty Hunter, you'd think it'd give him bonus gold per kill. I think it would make sense if for every mark on an enemy champion, Amon receives 5 or 10 bonus gold upon slaying the champion.

I like it. But I think you should change it completely so that he's a water bender that uses blood bending to take peoples bending away forever. Then later they can add his rival, Korra :P …now I want to watch Avatar ._.

Bounty hunter is like a different version of my champion Raena's "Contempt for the Wealthy" which increases her attack damage for a couple of attacks based on her target's accumulated gold. I'm not saying you stole it, just comparing.

I think Riot needs to incorporate more turnaround champs or abilities like your bounty hunter or my contempt for the wealthy. I don't know about anyone else, but a good comeback is the greatest feeling in the world xD.

Numbers would need some looking at, but overall a great idea. I love this niche, and hope it see's the light of day in the future. Now, his kit:

Passive: The only part of his kit I had trouble with. The gameplay issues this causes are more serious then they look like on paper. You don't want to ever think "Should I get this kill? If I do, then I'll die to the bonus damage and give more gold. I'll hold off." It causes confusion in the reading and overall toxicity. The idea behind it is great, but needs some more looking at to make it possible.

I loved the rest of the kit, but there were some general issues with it. I LOVE the abilites dont get me wrong. The issue I see with it is, that it gives him a complete identity crisis. It's not very healthy to give a champ good ranged poke while making him tanky and letting him be able to assassinate as well. His durability is nice, and rengar like. Thats also the issue, I see him being more like release rengar, very op and broken and difficult to balance without a kit rework. His abilities are all interesting, original, and balanced. But on this sort of champ your trying to accomplish, it brings a lot of issues. I really hope to see these abilities in action, but not all in the character.

In conclusion. I LOVE the idea and Character, and the Kit ABILITIES were phenomenal, but the combination of those abilities and the execution need some work. Give him clear cut weaknesses, but emphasize his strengths, and you have an A-Grade champ

In seriousness, I really do like the champ idea but his passive makes him seem like an anti-carry bruiser but the rest of his kit makes him seem like a burst champion.
