[IDEA] Champion Voiceover Pings

In the live minimap, Swain and Lux each have a line with their respective pings. My idea is that each champion have unique lines when using certain pings.

For example:

Shen issues a 'General' Ping and Shen declares, "There they are."

Garen issues a 'Be Careful' Ping and Garen says, "Watch out!"

Draven issues a 'Target Enemy Champion' Ping and Draven boasts, "This one's mine for Draaaaaaven!"

Soraka issues an 'Assist Me" Ping and Soraka cries, "I require your aid this time!"

Sejuani issues an 'On My Way' Ping and Sejauni roars, "Bristle, quickly!"

JarvanIV issues a 'Target Baron Nashor' Ping and Jarvan IV exclaims, "Kill the beast!"

Just a thought for future Voice Updates and new champions. Thanks for reading! What do you think?

Thats a great idea! Riot should also consider doing voice announcer packs. In dota they have these and have people like ezio from assasins creed, Glados from portal and other characters that you can download as an announcer.

Draven - "This one is for Draaaaaaaven!"

I like this idea. It adds immersion to the game, and could better indicate what you want from your team more quickly. This could essentially allow players better communication, though of course there would be limits to the amount of times the voice-over would play. So you're not hearing,

"W-W-W-Watch out!" "Bristle, Bristle, Bristle, Quickly!" "I require- I require- I require your aid."

You get the picture. Either way, it'd be an awesome addition to the game, and would be neat. Even if they didn't go the champion specific route and just added a voice-over to the ping. It'd allow the game to be more clear. Plus, I would dare to say the differences in character voices could let people know immediately who is wanting what just by being able to hear the champion.

I like this! This would add a bit more depth and life to the game. ^^

It is indeed a great idea, actually I'm playing the Heroes of the Storm alpha and they've already incorporated this feature, not only does it audibly alert you of what the ping is without looking at the mini-map, you can also tell which champion is making the ping without looking... in short it should be absolutely added to LOL. While we're on the topic of voice overs (RIOT has done an amazing job of making these character come to life with AWESOME voice acting) .... the announcer... a lot of people are annoyed by her, I like her voice most of the time but people love options, perhaps RP purchasable announcer voices are in order? (I'd buy it) Great thread, can't wait to see more development to this legendary game! Hail Pentakill

-edit- OK I feel I should also say this, I realize what a massive company like blizzard is capable of by chucking money at their games without respite. So being a life long Blizzard fan boy I've gotta say RIOT is doing a SUPERB job at keeping this free game updated CONSTANTLY. With the undertaking of the beautiful new Summoner's Rift VU I also realize how much freakin' work it would be to add in a ton of new voice overs and the UI to accompany toggled voice options as well. The passion the developers put into the game shows and you can't rush these things, and with that, keep up the great work rito. I LOVE LEAGUE!

DerpArchian has the right idea, however I feel like this would get more annoying than anything.

Dude, yes! That would be the boss!

I feel like this would be hard to accomplish, the idea is nice but getting voices for a champion, just one line isn't something riot would do.

This is a great idea, cause sometimes people d'ont talk the same language then you. And wen you try to chat to say that you are comming or you ask him for help, they d'ont understand a single word of what you say. So if the person plays in an other language the voice will be in this language. Get it ?

And the global Teemo taunt. XD

Interesting thought. Would add a little life to the game's proceedings, but it would take a lot more voiceover work from all the voice actors, and it could quickly cause audio clutter like a ten-man open mic ventrilo channel. Maybe with some tweaking to compensate for these issues it could be useful, but not sure if it would be worth the headaches.
