[Champion Concept] Samael, Captain of the Watch
**NOTE: I created this concept before the release of Braum. I am aware they share similar abilities. **
Hello there, fellow Summoners. I am Captain Wednesday, and I would like to present to you my champion concept, Samael, Captain of the Watch. Samael is tank-support, similar to that of Leona or Thresh. However, he can be played as a top solo laner with his innate tank stats and Q. Samael is a Demacian soldier who left his city-state to join the League when the skirmishes with Noxus came to a halt. This is my 4th champion! I present to you now, Samael:
Samael, Captain of the Watch Primary Class: Tank Secondary: Support
Attack Power: 4 / Defense Power: 7 / Ability Power: 4 / Difficulty: 6
Health: 444 (+85) / Health Regeneration: 7 (+0.5) / Mana: 210 (+35) / Mana Regeneration: 6.75 (+0.525) / Range: 125 (Melee) / Attack Damage: 53 (+3.75) / Attack Speed: 0.645 (+2.33%) / Armor: 16 (+3.5) / Magic Resistance: 30 (+1.25) / Movement Speed: 340
Passive - Demacian Loyalty
Samael increases nearby allied units' healing and regeneration by 4%. Samael increases nearby allied units' bonus attack damage and ability power by 2%.
Q - Defensive Strike Cost: 50 mana / Cooldown: 14/13/12/11/10 seconds
Samael gathers his strength and causes his next basic attack to deal additional true damage equal to 40/50/60/70/80% of his combined Armor and Magic Resistance. Active soldiers from Fierce Phalanx also attack the target dealing 20% of their combined Armor and Magic Resistance as bonus physical damage.
W - Frontline Charge Cost: 70/75/80/85/90 mana / Cooldown: 28/26/24/22/20 seconds
Samael dashes to the front of a target allied champion or minion, gaining 20/25/30/35/40 Armor and Magic Resistance (+1 per 25 Armor) (+1 per 25 Magic Resistance) for five seconds. The target gains half of Samael's increases for five seconds as well as any of soldiers active from Fierce Phalanx. Demacian Loyalty's percentages are increased by 4/5/6/7/8 for the same duration. In addition, for each active soldier during the charge, Samael and his soldiers gain 5 Armor and Magic Resistance upon reaching his target.
E - Crossbow Bombardment Cost: 65 mana / Cooldown: 18/17/16/15/14 seconds
Samael commands Demacian troops to fire upon a targeted area, dealing 40/80/120/160/200 (50% total AD) physical damage to all enemy units hit and slowing them by 40% for two seconds. In addition, the slow is increased by 10% and deals 10/20/30/40/50 (25% Ability Power) bonus magic damage for each active soldier from Fierce Phalanx.
R (Ultimate) - Fierce Phalanx Cost: 100 mana / Cooldown: 140/120/100 seconds
Passive: Samael's Armor and Magic Resistance are increased by 2% for each nearby allied champion. (Note: Includes himself)
Active: Samael calls forth two Demacian shield-bearers to his sides for 14 seconds. The soldiers have 30/50/70% of Samael's, Bonus Health, Bonus Armor, and Bonus Magic Resistance. While both soldiers are alive, Samael may recast Fierce Phalanx once to perform a shield bash, dealing 100/200/300 (50% Ability Power) physical damage to all enemy champions in front of the phalanx. In addition, enemy champions hit are knocked back and stunned for 1 second. The stun duration is doubled if an enemy collides with terrain.
(1 seconds cast time) When activated, Samael yells his battle cry, "For Demacia!" as any good Demacian would do.
I believe Samael's passive and W are what solidifies him as a great support. He works really well with squishy AD Carries in lane. It also combos well with self-healers like, Dr. Mundo, Garen, Trundle, Olaf, Cho'Gath, Heimerdinger etc. He also pairs well with Jarvan IV. With a well place ultimate shield bash, all enemy champions are push to the same distance, allowing Jarvan to Cataclysm them all together. Not to mention Lux and Galio as well. That was Samael, the Captain of the Watch.
What do you guys think? All feedback is welcomed and appreciated.
EDITS: Realized his W could be cast on allied wards, removed and reworded that part. Can't have him being mixed with Jax or Lee Sin!
Very cool idea, very well thought out!!!! I would defiantly play this champ. I hope they see this. Good job man!!!
