[Fanfiction] [Freljord] History of Freljord: Books I - III
(Bracketed [] words are fan made lore I added in as fillers rather than what brackets are usually for cause...) (It may be true, but it's not stated anywhere canonly.) This was written sleep deprived on Saturday. I just love to write in the condition someone shouldn't be writing in. I don't mention some Freljord characters as they that don't pertain to the general scheme of things or aren't introduced yet, but if there's anything else I missed in this arc of the lore just drop a comment. Introduction History of Freljord (I-X) is compiled by Frostguard archivists on accounts of history told by Lissandra and other pieces archived. The abridged version you are reading highlights snippets of the ten books.
I: The Three Sisters and the Frozen Watchers During the time of the three sisters, Avarosa, Serylda and me, Lissandra, unified under the same banner we fought the brutality of the unforgiving cold the Freljord brought. [On the brink of death and despair], from an unkown origin came the Frozen Watchers, to offer us gifts of magic and immortality. The Watchers were formed of [black] ice, with four arms and a single eye residing in the middle of their forehead, giving them their name. We were so young back then, and accepted the Watchers offer. In return of the Watchers gifts, we gave them our eternal loyalty. We, the Iceborn. We conquered Freljord and built the Watchers [the greatest] civilization and empire, we gave them whatever they desired. I was the Seeker and the voice of the Watchers, secretly betraying my sisters for pieces of our master's power. These were small prices to pay however, Avarosa did not think so. She believed we were nothing more than slaves, she cried out and demanded freedom and choice, and soon the rest of the Iceborn followed her. Rebellion was underway.
II: The Howling Abyss The Howling Abyss, an endless chasm surrounded by a fortress carved into glacier, [stood as the epicenter of] the empire the Iceborn built. Here is where the war between the Iceborn and the Watchers took place. On one side, the Frozen Watchers, on the other, Avarosa and the Iceborn. Many Iceborn died on the bridge, but the number of Iceborn outweighed the Watchers, and Avarosa sent them howling into the abyss, giving the crevasse its name. The Iceborn were finally free! In case the Watchers returned, Avarosa encased the spirit of Greyor, an Iceborn who died in the war, and left him a horn to sound in case their former adversaries returned. I was livid. I would have my revenge as [Avarosa, Serylda, and the rest of the Iceborn celebrate overthrowing their superiors.]
III: War of the Ancient Three Sisters Soon as the Watchers were confined at the Howling Abyss, Avarosa was named the Queen of the Freljord. As she reigned, I [prepped] and engineered her death in a way I cannot tell, [for you will all make a break for the Avarosan camps.] Avarosa was buried beneath a cairn, grave, with her true ice bow. The grave was marked with a single rune, Avarosa. After her death our tribe split into three main tribes: The Tribe of the Frost Archer, those still loyal to Avarosa, The Tribe of the Ice Dervish, the tribe I would rule, and the Tribe of the Winter's Claw, ruled by Serylda and her fierce horde of barbarians. We had our skirmishes and slaughtered each other until no Iceborn was left. As time went on, I was scheming the rise of the Watchers and conquer of Valoran and eventually Runeterra. It started with the Ice Dervish tribe.
