My Non-professional opinion on Coast

So as we all know, coast tends to tear up the challenger series and then get their asses handed to them in the LCS. In my humble opinion, this is due to the fact that Coast has 5 very talented INDIVIDUAL players (as Zirene said), but their team play and communication is lacking. So when they play CS teams, whose players tend to be, in general, slightly less talented/experienced than LCS pros, they are able to amass such a large lead in lane that they can then crush fights purely off of being fed from lane. But when they get into the LCS, playing against players who are just as good if not better than them, their lack of shotcalling and communication shines through loud and clear. I am not a coast fan, and am in fact currently rooting for RNG in the finals (which I have on in the background), I think this is the real issue with their team. Tell me what you think.

Coast has an alike problem with CLG, except CLG has some of the best players in the region at their positions. CLG has Zion, IWDominate, Pobelter, Doublelift, and Aphromoo. I could name at least 3 that are debatably the best players in their position in NA. Coast is alike, but they don't have such amazing talent.

Hey I thought I would mention that IWDominate is the jungler for Team Liquid. CLG's jungler is Xmithie.

I also think that I'd give them a top 3 position, not #1. Zion vs Impact? Pobelter vs Bjergsen? Double vs Piglet? I know you said debatable but in those positions you've already got two world champions and CLG doesn't have any.

I agree with your general assertion that CLG has top caliber talent and that lets them get away with a looser playstyle, at least sometimes. The thing is, even being best in the NA you're still going to end up playing teams that have similar or greater talent eventually. When the skills are even it comes down to comp and shotcalling, which I feel that CLG have had troubles with (same as Coast).

Impact + Rush is better than Zion + Xmithie, but I think Zion would be able to beat Impact 1v1. I won't argue that Pobelter is better than Bjergsen. Doublelift might be better than Piglet. Aphromoo is the other one I was talking about.
