Since the LCS is franchising, I think that means that the Challenger Series is going to go away. That means that you're not going to have the option of doing really well in Challenger, getting into the Challenger Series, winning that, then kicking out a losing team in the NALCS. I think that this means that you're going to need to get your name known if you want any chance of getting onto a NALCS team. Whether that's through a college league or solo queue, you're going to need to show the current NALCS teams that you deserve a spot on their teams. Don't be toxic, show you have a wide Champion pool, and show that you're a team player with ridiculously good mechanics. I'm not quite sure what would happen if an organization dropped out of the NALCS voluntarily, but I'm guessing some other team with a lot of money would take over. If you can get yourself on that team you might get into the NALCS.

Easiest way to turn pro is to get to Challenger and get good at the game; climb through the tiers, honestly that's the best and only way in my opinion. The LCS Challenger scene will pretty much be gone from my knowledge of the whole franchising element into the mix but that doesn't mean you can't get to challenger tier with a flex team or yourself and get known from there on.
Good luck
