Seriously, that team did things no one though possible, they made SKT work for the win. To me, they were a top notch EU team. Its time to go home, heads up, proud if their accomplishments and be ready for next year.
It's still pretty sad. If only their jungler smited the elder dragon, they would have won the game.
I'll be honest. I don't watch the tournament play. I don't have a particular interest in it.
HOWEVER.... I see so many horribly abrasive posters here. I'm not particularly a verbal saint myself, and lose myself in the heat of the moment, but this is an entirely different level of toxic I'm seeing.
I know some people may feel that tournaments may not be worth their salt and only the best team deserves praise, but that's simply not fair or true to other competitors.
These players treat the game they love the same as someone would treat football (either one) or Basketball, or the Olympics: It is a finite chance to define themselves within a realm of fans and peers. If any of you have ever played a competitive sport, did you appreciate the coach or fans who criticized and yelled and screamed at you and focused on a mistake, or did you appreciate the coach or fans who observed you for the purpose of "fun?"
There's only one slot in a winning circle. But that doesn't mean that people who get close should not be praised as well. That's called good sportsmanship.

The only other time SKT has been pushed to their limit has been in finals. I don't think they've ever needed to work this hard in Quarters.
Misfits fricken showed up, and brought the fight to SKT. Not many western teams are capable of saying that.

Typical western nonsense. Acting like you achieved something when the reality is that they lost, is just cringe. Stop with the "everyone is a winner" thing.
I can't stand this sentiment. Yeah, I am as shocked as ne one that misfits did something pretty incredible, but they should've won game five and that call to hit the drag was a wrong call. also, varus pick and sivir picks are horrible unless you dont want to win.
Its not really a congrats for being a loser. Im not giving them a golden sticker and a participation trophy. What I am saying is that despite their loss and their mistakes that cost them a game, they should understand that they have shown that they are worlds material.
They need more practice, they need more training. But they are on a path to being a dangerous team to play against.

Well i'd be less sad if they got 3-0'd tbh , making it from challenger series to worlds and then losing to SKT is o but 3-2 , when they could win both 4th and 5th game , i wouldnt say easily but they were in the lead and in a position to make it , i folow this team since challenger series even tho their roster was a bit different and the thing is today SKT was beatable , and thats why its sad , cause now we need to wait a whole new year to see MSF on the world stage again , but right now i jsut want to see them against teams like RNG , SSG to show what more they can do , maybe next yeare they wont adapt to the meta very well , not having a successful training while SKT would perform at their top top level so even tho they become much better , a young team with so much potential , well this year they had a real chance who knows if they'll even have the chance to try it next year thats why im sad otherwise i wouldnt tbh , i was liking this team before this series right now im absolutely fanboying them tbh .
