Something I noticed about the knockout stage
I know it just happened to pan out this way, but look at it for a sec.
SKT vs RNG ROX vs EDG
SSG vs C9 H2K vs Albus
I can't really draw the whole thing since I'm not an ascii god, but you get the point. It seems that all of the favorites to win are on one side, while all of the underdogs are in the other. The true games to watch will be the first set of semifinals, rather than the actual finals, which are guaranteed to have either SSG, C9, H2K, or Albus in them. The first set of semis will consist of two of a group of four teams that all came into this thing as favorites in their respective groups, while the second set of semis will consist of two underdogs vying for top underdog. Then top underdog goes against top favorite in the finals.
It'll make for an interesting finals, and also proves that it is indeed possible, through a stroke of luck, to have your odds of winning the tournament increased dramatically. Think about it this way; if C9 were placed in the group with SKT, ROX, and EDG, they'd have to win three upset Bo5's in a row (Quarters, Semis, Finals). With their current position, they're playing against a team that's not so much above their level for the first two rounds, then playing only one Bo5 where the opposing team has the advantage (Finals, since C9's the underdog against all possible 1st group finals teams)
If this whole post has made no sense at all, then don't worry, because I don't think I know what I just typed.
tl;dr: SSG's making finals, boiz
