Playoff Race Scenario tiebreakers!

This weekends games have sever implications towards the playoff race. 1st through 9th place can be switched in just 1 week in multiple different ways. One specific scenario interests me more than any other though. I will go 1 game at a time in the order that it will be played. T8 Vs. TL, TL W Dig Vs. CLG, Dig W GV Vs. TIP, GV W NME Vs. TSM, TSM W TDK Vs. C9, C9 W NME Vs. Dig, Dig W CLG Vs. T8, CLG W TSM Vs. C9, C9 W GV Vs. TDK, GV W TL Vs. TIP, TIP W

If this is how the weekend goes, which is for sure a possible outcome then we would have a ridiculous scenario for Riot to handle.

Standings

GV (14-4) TSM (12-6) TIP (12-6) TL (12-6) CLG (12-6) Dig (11-7) C9 (6-12) T8 (6-12) NME (4-14) TDK (1-15) 4-way tie for 2nd, Tie for 7th.

If this scenario plays out, for 2nd place. TSM is 2-0 on CLG, 1-1 TIP, 1-1 TL. CLG is 0-2 on TSM, 1-1 TIP, 1-1 TL. TIP is 1-1 on TSM, 1-1 CLG, 1-1 on TL. TL is 1-1 on TSM, 1-1 on CLG, and 1-1 on TIP.

If this scenario plays out, for 7th place. C9 1-1 T8

Riot would have something to think about, if they haven't already started thinking about this scenario. Two options for 2nd place.

Option 1: TSM 4-2 TIP is 3-3 TL is 3-3 CLG is 2-4

TSM takes 2nd place, TIP and TL do a tiebreaker for 3rd/4th and CLG takes 5th place.

Option 2: TSM 4-2 TIP is 3-3 TL is 3-3 CLG is 2-4

They make the teams all play eachother, the only problem with this is a scenario in which: TSM beats CLG/TL, Loses to TIP. TIP beats TSM/TL, Loses to CLG. CLG beats TIP, Loses to TL/TSM. TL beats CLG, Loses to TSM/TIP. This alone is already 6 games.

You then have to play TSM vs TIP for 2nd place. TL vs CLG for 4th place. 8 games.

THEN, after finally figuring out 2nd place, you have to play C9 vs T8 for 7th. 9 games.

9 GAMES is 1 game less than what league of legends does in a full 2 days. This would add up to 14 games in a single day. Starting at 3PM EST, 14 games could take anywhere from 12-16.5 hours. 3PM until anywhere from 3AM until 6:30AM.

Riot Games has their work cut out for them if this scenario goes down, either option has its ups and down. Option 2 is more fair, while option 1 is more plausible.

Goodluck Riot!

Think this will be easier than assumed.

CLG are looking good, but if they will finally be banned out, I think TSM/TL at the very least can beat them.

TSM aren't looking good but I'd give them top 4 and no less.

GV still looks shaky, despite their good record, they have to not let nerves impact them, so they are a wild card.

TiP I think will fall out of the top 3-4 simply because of XWX being banned now, and seeing as their sub support is the starting mid laner this week last I heard.

TL is hard to say. I am a big fan, but they could sit anywhere between first to third easily, so hard to gauge until best of 5s, where I think only TSM will be better, as we already know they wreck CLG 2 years in a row at best of 5s (9/10 in their last 10 games). TiP won't go far without XWX
