I'm pretty sure I speak for everyone when I say this, I'm tired of the lack of variety in pro play, and I'd like to know if anyone has any ideas to improve variety in pro play, as especially with junglers, there often is only like one or two champions every being played for every lane, and it gets really repetitive and overall uninteresting.
Ultimate Deadpoo1 votesOkay, I thought of this after I posted but a possible way to encourage variety would be for Riot to only allow a champion to show up once per series, so each team could only have the opportunity to play each champion once, so in a 3 game series we would see 6 different top, mid, jg, adc, and supports be used.

I think several people have stated the whole problem currently is that too many champions are too similar, which allows teams to compared champions side-by-side and pick the one that currently gives the most benefits while still performing a specific job. If Riot were to rework every champion so they would all offer something different to the game, then there would theoretically be more variety (only theory, but it sounds like the most logical one imo).

That is true, there would only be more of the same picks, but it would at least be something.
JustMonika131 votesReally though. Like, even the shoutcasters stated that the game where Inori showed off his Rengar was one of the most exciting that they have seen in a while. All of the players need to not be so afraid to show off their mastery with their mains and play them instead of sticking to the somewhat stale meta.

I totally agree, people don't understand that the meta is just what people consider to be good right now, when in reality if you can play a champion well, it doesn't matter if its meta or not, because you can make it work and have success with it. I make warwick work plenty, and I consider him one of the best junglers in the game. Almost no one shares that opinion, but when I'm on point, no one doubts the results.

TBH though, the Rengar pick seemed a lot like a "we're probably going to lose against the giant that is TSM, let's at least try to catch them off guard" pick, that turned out to work and win them the game, and made it a lot more interesting. Anyways, at least we don't have to deal with the yawnfest that is turret trading anymore once the current patch makes it to the competitive scene. That's a small step towards making LCS game fun to watch. Probably going to cause snowballing issues with us Plebs though.
Off topic, how do you feel about the upcoming Warwick rework? Feelings about CertainlyT being in charge of it (so I've heard)?

With warwick, I really don't care who reworks him as long as they keep his flavor, which is dominate 1v1/1v2 late game powerhouse with devastating ganks and keep his sustain. Honestly I never thought he needed a rework, a visual rework certainly but a kit rework he always seemed fine to me.

Then you shouldn't really be worried I guess. Despite all the hate CertainlyT gets (especially for Yasuo and pre-gutted Kalista) he does tend to have flavorful and unique work. I trust that he would keep the powerhouse blood-sniffing hunter theme, or even build upon it more.

III BAKURYU III 1 votesAm I disappointed about the lack of diversity in pro play no. If I want diversity I can just play different champions myself but the pros are trying to WIN their games not have fun with garbage champions that don't fit the meta or the best solutions to WIN their games.
