Miror B7 votesA) SKT isn't funded by the south korean government, but rather the largest "telecom" or "news broadcasting station" in their region B) SKT's roster isn't worth $10m+, as reports have even said that their most expensive player (Faker) is only making $1m per year, with the expected salaries being $600k for Bang/wolf and $400k for Peanut/Huni (or 3m for the roster) C) TSM also lost 3 games to Gigabyte Marines, a team that comes from a region where there is no prize $ for finishing first in a split and where the average player salary (had to look it up) is $8,000. Your same rantey arguement could be said about TSM/GAM only that TSM doesn't exactly "have" an excuse. D) TSM has multiple coaches, and even had a sports psychologist with them for like 4 months. Just gotta do research.

They look great in na because they have good solo laners, but as soon as they go international suddenly their solo laners are NOT the best anymore. Hauntzer is not the best top, bjerg isnt the best mid, and that is what they rely on to win in na. IMO they need to come up with something different than just camp for bjerg on syndra/ori or hauntzer on cami/fizz because when you do the same thing all the time eventually its not going to work at the worst time. What they REALLY need to do is bench sven , he is ass on the international stage and has been sense he was on SK gaming. Pick up meteos or inori or even try to find some new tallent or something like c9 has done because clearly its not working. Sven isnt good he only looks good sometimes because he has good solo lanes, its easy to look like a good jungler when your lanes are already ahead. Anyone who has ever played jungle in ranked can tell you than its alot harder to jungle if all your lanes are behind, but if all of them are ahead it takes a big weight off you. With laners like hauntzer, bjerg and DL when hes actually on the team Sven never got truly tested in NA but as soon as there are better laners like faker he looks like a trash can. Sven is to tsm what moon is to FQ. Moon isnt actually all that good, its being on the team with hai balls and lemon that make him not look terrible. Admittedly balls lemon and hai are middle of the table now instead of their former glory theyre definatly better than moon used to be. Hai is good so suddenly moon looks good. Miror B1 votesSee, for me they're a lot like the New York Yankees. While they may win in the regular season quite often via buying a roster, the inability to farm homegrown talent makes them a risk outside of that. Add in the fact that each team has had their own "homegrown all-star" (regi being derek jeter) and the white/black colour scheme, and they're almost a perfect fit.
If TSM really wants to do well internationally, they can't keep buying talent. Most top-tier teams tend to have a core of players while only subbing out 1-2 players tops per year. C9's been doing it, SKT's been doing it (with their "free agents" apparently being paid upwards of $800k per year in an attempt to get the Belichick effect going on), even Fnatic's kinda been doing it even though their success in spring was shite at best. While TSM's plan works short term (as NA is such a dearth-ey region that you can rely on skill alone and finish in top-3), the lack of chemistry combined with what looks to be a somewhat lackadasical coaching staff has them faulter massively against better competition. TSM almost desperately needs either a bigger roster (get a bunch of subs to learn underneath bjerg/others) and/or a revitalized coaching staff, as few people remember the domestic accomplishments when the teams in question get destroyed at worlds every year.

Doesn't matter if it's terrible drafts (Why are you letting other teams get their best champs?), doesn't matter if its someone else fault, doesn't matter if the team is doing things like making a "Protect the ADC" comp, but completely failing to play it/protect him. Somehow, someway, they'll find a way (even if it defies all reasoning) to blame Wild Turtle.
